I find this highly skeptical. It reads like someone telling the conspiracy theorists what they want to hear.

Can't access your link mate

When you click on it scroll all the way to the bottom and you'll see DeeJ's post. I just double checked it and it works fine on my end.

yes it works thanks for this!

I agree. He could have mentioned exactly what was missing instead all we got is, "Yep, bad stuff happened. I can't go into details. Oh, and stuff was cut too, but I won't go into details. The story wasn't the same as we had originally planned, but I won't go into details. Just believe me, k?"
-
Hey it kinda sounds like the actual story. ; )
I don't have time to explain what I don't have time to explain.

I could tell you about the stories of what was cut, but the children are already scared
-
LOL That's so true "I could tell you.... I could tell you................... I could tell you................................................................... BUT I WONT MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA."
-
Yeah, he is saying things that the community has already theorized but I actually think this is a high level way of admitting things without openly admitting them. Look at the end how he starts trying to push DLC.
-
He mentions that some things may come back in DLC. If he worked for Bungie you would think he would know what is going to be on the DLC that comes out in 2 months. It's crazy how some conspiracy theorists claim that the dlc is on the disc already, wouldn't this contradict that. If it's already on the disc then how could this "employee" not know already. Again he is not saying anything specific, which is a sign that points to it not being real.
-
I was talking about how he starts telling us, basically, that the game won't be become what we want it to if we don't purchase the DLC.
-
If it is true it may also mean that what is on disc right now, is currently/needs to be reworked with how the story is right now. Maybe even that areas used to be considered for, say, the human story start and the like. That said, much like Smash leaks, we may have to wait until future official updates come in to be able to tell if he speaks truth or not. ANd if he is, its understandable why he wouldn't be all out in the open (more so if he is still working there)

I am not someone who usually keeps up with Reddit, but isn't there a way for mods to verify, even if confidentially, the name/employement of the person doing AMA? Do they need to be verfied or something?

Edited by D4rkFr4g: 9/29/2014 10:51:39 PMRed Box Right Hand Side Reddit IAMA Frequently Asked Questions
All AMAs require proof. Proof should be included in the text of the post when you start your AMA. If it must remain confidential, you can message it to the moderators and we can verify you. See here for tips concerning proof and examples
I see nothing that constitues proof in this posting.
-
I know for a fact that a AMA can be started through skepticism just like during the survivor2299 fiasco we still don't know who that guy really is. But everyone eats these things up.
-
Yeah , I highly doubt that person is even from bungie
-
Its sounds legit and explains a lot of things I mean seriously how does the crytparch know that I'm playing an awoken and even make comment on how very few of us are smart enough to leave the reef but the awoken queen acts as if there's no difference between me and that exo character over there
-
Except that conspiracy theorists don't say anything that's true to reality or even self consistent. Even if this is speculation on the part of a fan, its probably not far off the mark of what happened (if with a bit less drama.)

Definition of a Conspiracy Theory (Wikipedia)
A conspiracy theory is an explanatory proposition that accuses two or more persons, a group, or an organization of having caused or covered up, through secret planning and deliberate action, an illegal or harmful event or situation
This pretty much sums up all the forum posts regarding this issue. Conspiracy theories have to have something based on truth and reality otherwise no one would believe them.
-
At a certain point, you can stop pretending. It's pretty clear something happened and this guy can explain everything perfectly.
-
I wouldn't call it explaining everything perfectly. He's making a bunch of claims he can't back up. I assume at some point Bungie will comment further. Although if Bungie comes out and says none of this is true then we will start seeing the cover-up claims and the conspiracy theories will grow deeper. It is pretty clear that something happened as it happens with almost every product known to man, during development prior to release changes were made to the product. I've been around awhile I don't believe everything that is said on the Internet.
-
If it sounds too good to be true, usually it is.
-
Thats the feeling I got from it. Too much of it sounds scripted right off forum threads
