Hey, Bungie Community.
I hope you had a nice weekend.
We noticed that you noticed that we already have plans for upcoming content packs in Destiny.
We do! They have activity names (which may or may not change) and we have a really good idea what they're going to contain. They even have placeholder nodes in the Director, as you've already discovered.
But neither of the Expansion Packs we've announced are finished.
People at Bungie are hard at work to complete content for our first post launch pack, "The Dark Below," as I type these words. It will be finished soon. It releases in December. Soon, we'll detail it out for you so you can see exactly what we've been working on.
Thanks for playing. Thanks for the passion. We know you want details. We'll talk more soon.

There's this whole " We can't tell you but you just have to trust us." I would love to believe you... If you guys weren't all full of it.

Edited by burza82: 9/30/2014 7:57:45 AMMy opinion I would like to say: I completed already everything and I had good time with my friends but for the new content I have to wait now until December. I don't think me and my friends will be playing through October and November (2 months) over and over the same missions. We enjoy Raid at the moment, already completed 3 times. But how many times you can start the same Raid? Now is still fun but for two weeks not will at all. Raid can not be something what coming every 3 months only, because at this point is only one thing that keeping some people in Destiny world. One of my friend have a suggestion: Double or even triple numbers of missions. Some kind of random missions system with random enemies in random existing places. That hard is to create some random enemy, give him more health and surround him with allies. Make a hundreds of such a random missions, create some guy in Tower to activate this random mission and people will be have something to do. Otherwise you will not keep players for a long time. Regards.

I'm compelled to reply to this post and share my feedback because, contrary to what many in this and related threads have suggested, voting with our wallets is a sure way to prevent the ultimate artistic vision of Destiny from being realized.
3: We know the adage, "Vote with your wallet." At the same time, like you've pointed out, if sales figures don't look good, one of the parties might pull the plug on the game. What would you recommend as the best way to convey (community email, petition, etc), for the gamers like myself, that while we might be hesitant to further invest in a fractured title, we would be willing to do so if we felt confident that it helped bring back what Destiny could have been?
My feedback: I'm disappointed but hopeful. Without a story, I'm quickly loosing interest in continuing to play the game and I have significantly less interest in purchasing DLC. While I enjoy what's been delivered it's not enough for me to purchase DLC to help keep the game alive. I will be glad to pay for DLC under two conditions: the DLC fills in the gaps in the story line and a vision or goals for planned future DLC is articulated. General thoughts: I love the core gameplay. I was surprised to find that I enjoy the multi player aspect as well. I typically play first person single player titles. I did not purchase or play Titanfall due to lack of a story and a complete focus on multiplayer. I chose to purchase Destiny because of prior Bungie work and the vision articulated through press releases and industry events. I want to support games with this vision to ensure the type of gameplay I prefer continues in the future. The framework and details for a great story exist in the content I've experienced. I am currently leveling my character and collecting loot. Now that I'm at a higher level I'm loosing interest in the game play because of lack of motivation to continue playing repetitive missions. My only motivation to play is to play with friends. My friends are not often online and the lack of a lobby system results if few opportunities for me to play raids.

More like hard at work at cutting more content so we can pay more for an already incomplete game. DeeJ you and Bungie lied i just want my 90$ back from all the lies Bungie told.
-
He keeps saying well find out "soon".. I think The first dlc is already on disc but we face a potential ban if we try to explore it..
-
Conglaturations. You managed to wholeheartedly avoid answering anyone's questions, quelling anyone's concerns, or even getting anyone excited for any future updates. This is the biggest waste of a post ever. And that's saying something. At least the shitposts on Offtopic are entertaining. Nothing about this post is. I would say the game isn't either, but the teamwork aspect of the gameplay has saved selling this game for me. It's only fun with friends.

Edited by Calza123: 9/30/2014 6:34:35 AMso a game that has been in devolopment for six years all we get is the current game????? and by working on the Expansion pass suggest that what the person on reddit said was true as all u have is the game. (with boring mission and UN finished content) currently then something BIG happend to destiny and what it was meant to be. We need to know why the stroy changed why isnt the "explorable geometry....NOT A SKYBOX" NOT EXPLORABLE i love destiny but what the game thats in my PS4 isnt the game i saw at E3

Edited by Celoxamortis: 9/29/2014 10:37:20 PM
It releases in December.
Good luck keeping people interested that long. Grinds are not content. Events that just change the way people grind are not content. The only reason games like Warcraft have been able to survive with grinds is because there's enough compelling content and side material to keep people interested. Destiny doesn't have that. I'm already watching people on both my X360 and PS4 friends' lists move on to other games. The most common complaint I hear from those folks is that the game is too repetitive, too bland, or not rewarding enough. While you might be addressing the last complaint this week with loot/Cryptarch changes, the fact is the other two issues are deeply ingrained in the foundation of the game and not easily fixed. As I said from the first week on, PVE folks are simply going to move on to the next shiny PVE game that comes out. PVP folks might stick around a bit longer but the minute something comes out (likely COD: AW) where they can PVP without dealing with Destiny's grindy MMO-esque loot pretentiousness, they'll be gone too. What was launched isn't a foundation for a 10 year franchise. A true ten year franchise needed to be far larger in scope, launch with a much more coherent story, and offer far more to do. This franchise will be lucky if it survives ten months and the poor reception isn't going to bode well for future entries. (Edit: Let's be honest, Mass Effect was only a 5 year franchise (so far (2007-2012)), and that was with BioWare's considerable prior experience building story driven RPGs.) P.S. I hate to be so brutal but Too Human did a better job with loot, RPG, and story elements than Destiny. Too Human.

The game is pretty bare bones. And you're telling us that in an MMO style game, the only content updates that will bring new areas to explore or new enemies to fight won't show up until at least December? My motivation to keep playing until then just took a huge hit...
Soon, we'll detail it out for you

Soon™
What I want to know is are these expansions part of the Playstation one year exclusive deal with Sony? Because if these expansions are not going to release for another year on the Xbox this is 1. The most stupidest thing av seen ever and 2. The death of Destiny on Xbox it will not last the year without the extra content. I only say this because IGN clearly think the expansions are part of the exclusive deal.

Edited by Schmuvi: 9/30/2014 7:14:55 AMYe, thanks for this post, that tells us absolutely nothing.. Your masterpiece became a disasterpiece and you are not going to safe it.. No way is it going to last 10 years... Every Shadow of Mordor stream on twitch already has more Viewers, than the destiny streams and it isn't even released :D You had the chance to create something Special.. and well you -blam!-ed up.
Hey, Bungie Community. I hope you had a nice weekend. We noticed that you noticed that we already have plans for upcoming content.
look what we noticed is that -blam!-ing Dlc is already in the disc. Stop your fuking bullshit about what we notice. Damn bungie did you notice that there is no story in this game??? Did you notice the poor solo mission... And the cut!

Edited by MroczMR: 9/30/2014 6:49:54 AMI have one concern about future content in DLC. There will be Raids in the future DLC and we all know Raids were meant to be ultimate players teamplay challenge. The Vault Of Glass can be played only with friends from the friendlist. Some of my friends who are playing Destiny with me already decided not to buy DLC. Is there planned possibility to play Raids from DLC with those who don't buy DLC just by inviting them to Fireteam? I think this would be very useful. I don't ask about Strikes and Story Missions, but Raids you know are special. Without players to play Raids are useless. Selling them in DLC and blocking other players would divide the community.

Edited by Derity: 9/29/2014 9:21:53 PMSo you expect us to stick around to December so we can play more sub-level 30 content and be rewarded with more Legendary items to throw on the scrap heap? And pay for that? Yeaahhhh..... Imma pass. As AngryJoe said, "ya dun fuk'ditup."
-
Stop with the PR shit and actually be real for once you excuse of a Community manager. The DLC is probably the same thing as the game, defend muh ghost and more bland storytelling.
-
Why do I feel, as if I'm bring lied too..?
-
The bad. Buzz just reach France and the most serious newspaper speaks about locking content and sell them true dlc .

-blam!- off DeeJ
But neither of the Expansion Packs we've announced are finished.
This is a rather nebulous statement that admits to a degree of accuracy, but leaves room for great latitude if the product is almost done (post beta), or only halfway done (alpha stage). As much as I want to believe Bungie & appreciate a statement, this doesn't reveal a whole later and the language is crafted for ambiguity and to prevent full transparency. I'm still suspicious because Activi$on is publishing

I like how you acknowledge that we want details , then fallow up by saying we'll talk later. . .
stop treating us like children.
Edited by TurdFerguson0331: 9/30/2014 6:20:29 AMI know that I still have a lot of weapons to find but I hope that you guys got a chance to add some more to Destiny with the DLC. Looking forward to what guys add to the game. Edit: I got the limited edition so I hope the DLC is good...because I already bought it.

Not enough content for £19.99 imo

Lol. Fail. Biggest disappointment of the year
