Monte Carlo has the same DPS as a Shingen-E. 10% higher with Aggressive Ballistics. Either way, Vex Mythoclast has a higher DPS to the body than either of those to the head.

Lol no it doesnt, he was critting for 63. Monte crits for about 60 fires much quicker too. Also agg ball do next to nothing in pvp. Why would you want a gun to aim at the body?

Edited by CaptainChortles: 9/28/2014 8:47:21 PMHere's the stats and math. Vex Mythoclast (Fusion). 45 body/56 head @ 400 RPM 45 * 400 / 60 = 300 DPS to the body 56 * 400 / 60 = 373 DPS to the head Monte Carlo with Smart Drift (Auto). 16 body/24 head @ 600 RPM 16 * 600 / 60 = 160 DPS to the body 24 * 600 / 60 = 240 DPS to the head 60 damage to the head with Monte Carlo in Crucible? Is there some perk I'm missing that raises your DPS to SIX HUNDRED to the head, practically instantly killing the target as soon as you hit them? Because I've never done 60 damage with a 600 RPM rifle. The base is 24 to the head for that firerate. Do you mean Suros Regime? Even that only hits 42-43 with Focused Fire and only fires at 300 RPM. I can provide a video of Monte Carlo doing 24 to the head if needed.

When I use my MC in crucible it hits for 40~ on the head. 3/4 Upgraded if that helps.
-
Thanks. I'll look at the perk chart. That is bizzarre.
-
No problem. With the everlooming AR nerf it will probably be miles better. Onto HC I think.

This guy here hits for 24 damage to the head and 16 to the body. Only upgrade is CQB Ballistics. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWiVrdADYvs These two also do 16/24. No idea what perks. I don't think they have MC Method as their energy doesn't refill as they damage enemies. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZ9fn_asl_o http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1r1ci_GkvVg The only perk which I haven't used myself is Monte Carlo Method, which as far as I know, doesn't increase damage. Just recharges melee energy when you hit an enemy. So... if yours does 40 on a headshot, congratulations. I have no way to explain it, unless Monte Carlo Method doubles the damage of the gun without saying so. xD

I have it upgraded until the 3rd or 2nd to last damage upgrade I think of the top of my head. It used to hit fairly low until it started upgrading but I will double check next time im on but I know it doesnt hit as low as 24 though. Ill log on soon and check it out for you.

Edited by CaptainChortles: 9/28/2014 9:41:02 PMThanks. The only difference I can tell between yours and theirs for sure is that you have Field Scout. I know that during the Beta, Iron Relic Rounds were in the perk slot where Field Scout is now. Those considerably improve Impact. Who knows. There could even be a bug that gives you both the effects of Field Scout and somehow the old Iron Relic Rounds effect. I remember when Killzone: Shadow Fall came out, adding the Flashlight attachment to the Judaz doubled its range and damage. Still waiting for someone to explain that one to me...

My mistake headshots with MC only hit 32, always thought it was stronger. Ah well, hopefully find a new exotic soon fingers crossed?!

Edited by CaptainChortles: 9/29/2014 10:51:55 PMThe Exotics I want are Pocket Infinity and Hard Light. I love how Hard Light looks. I did last week's Nightfall solo and... got shards... then I got my 2nd Exotic bounty and the only option I didn't have/wanted was Thorn. :L
-
Ive been trying to get Thorn keep doing summon pits but dont receive anything lol. Must be doing something wrong cant even get the bounty started. I want hawkmoon and ill be happy or the patience sniper.
-
idk. For the first part I cleared the summoning pits and then I looked in my inventory and the objective for the bounty changed. I just did the LV12 version.
-
I got told to do summon pits to unlock the bounty in the first place lol, i dont even have the bounty :<

Edited by CaptainChortles: 9/30/2014 5:04:39 PMThat person was incorrect. Every time you turn in a bounty of any kind (Crucible, Vanguard, even Queen's or Iron Banner as far as I can tell), there is a small chance the game will reward you with a Vanguard Mentor Missive alongside the normal reputation and EXP. There's no known way, as far as I know, to increase your odds of getting a specific bounty and it is random when you get it. Just turn in as many bounties as you can. I had none for a long time, then I got one turning in 3 Vanguard bounties and another turning in a Queen's Wrath bounty. While it would make sense that doing the summoning pits enough times would give you the Thorn bounty... you aren't even given a specific bounty. You're given a choice between multiple bounties. It's just a random reward for clearing any bounty. Once you do get the bounty, you do have to clear the Summoning Pits as the 1st part of it, though. Also, there are two sets of Exotic bounties. It's possible even when you get a missive that Thorn (A LIGHT IN THE DARK) won't be a choice. If it isn't one, I reccommend "SHATTERED MEMORY FRAGMENT" instead, which gives you the Pocket Infinity, which is a Fusion Rifle that fires in full auto. Not BS full auto like most guns in this game; after the first charge time, it just fires burst after burst. Infinity requires you to dismantle 10 Rare Fusion Rifles at one point, though. Might want to buy those if you have some spare glimmer. I bought 10 and stuck them in the vault for when I get it. The Gunsmith randomly sells them.
