Thorn, The controversial Gun
People dont like it because its weak. Dont like it because the bounty is hard
Its meant for the skilled, those who are worthy. Only few can see its true potential. Others might have it, but they only see it as a gun
What do you think of the Thorn?

Thorn is my favorite handcannon (i have yet to get hawkmoon so that might change). It's super strong in pve and awesome in crucible. Don't miss or you'll spend the next hour reloading though. it's also very hard to get a gunslinger medal. you'd need to shoot 3 people in the head and not miss a shot to get it w/ this gun in its current state.

The Thorn is not a great gun. There are better choices especially with it being an exotic. It's more of a collectors item lol

I use it every chance I get, for all other situation ice breaker has worked quite well for the past three weeks

I think the DOT needs to stack. I use my Defender and force barrier to speed up reload

16 RepliesAnyone who complains about Thorn must suck at shooting a pistol and lack accuracy. It's not the gun - it's you! If you think Thorn is terrible - it's you that are terrible. I DOMINATE with it.

1 ReplyAs a sunsinger with sunbreakers and thorn is a the prefect match for my build as a dps so that nothing can recover it's shields with massive collection of continual damage

2 RepliesI dont have it, but ive played on my friends character that does. Its awesome. If you can land headshots then you 3 shot people. Like the Bad Juju, people just suck with guns, and with damage upgrades its godly.

1 ReplyI frigging love Thorn! Easy "fix" would be to either increase reload speed or clip size, and make the DOT duration stack, rest of the stats are good enough for me.

I hope they will buff Thorn's ammo capacity or/and reload speed. Either one works for me. I love the gun. It does have substancial recoil, but the range it has is pretty nice.

3 RepliesReload is slow as crap, needs a larger mag. Other handcannons has 10 plus rounds thorn doesnt. The quest for it is one of the most challenging. Just expected more from an exotic :(

I like mine a lot. Can't wiat to see what it is like when they buff it.

It's pretty weak at the moment from what i've seen and read, but Bungie have acknowledged how some exotic weapons are pretty inferior and plan to buff them while bringing some others more in-line.

I don't have it fully upgraded yet, but I'm already drooling at the thought of using it on shielded enemies who like to go hide when their shields are down. "Having a little trouble getting that shield to respawn there, little fella?"

I love it, best gun I've had. It's good in the crucible(if you know how to use it) and it's awesome in PvE. Body shots do a good amount of damage and head shots are deadly. The perks are good, they help in PvP, overall a great gun [spoiler]they are also buffing it FTW!![/spoiler]

I like it and I don't even have Mark of the Devourer yet. With that I'm sure you can 2 shot people.
