Plus this is one of the rarest drops in the game. Can only be received on hard while beating the raid. And even then the chances of this dropping are VERY VERY low. He deserves to use it if he found it so stop crying

I think I speak for every pve player when i say, we don't give a shit about people in pvp. That gun is a trophy for beating the VoG on hard. Not to mention there is literally zero reason to win or even do good in the crucible.

Weapons should be balanced enough to be used in both.

If you play both then you are the third group of people. It's pve, pvp, and the pvp/pve groups. Pve only players don't want our shit getting nerfed because it is good againsted other players. You guys knew this would happen when they told you they would let people bring loot from pve into pvp, and you still bought the game. People can't bitch about it now, knowing full well what this would be when we came to end game loot.

It doesn't matter how rare a drop is, if it completely breaks PvP then it needs a nerf.

It doesn't matter if he 'deserves to use it.' The point of the matter is that it's too strong in PvP. His eligibility to use it is not in question at all. PvP should have balance in all things with marginal advantages, not alarmingly giant ones.

As far as we know, they may not be able to. Every weapon seems to be coded for the game and not to either gamemode. Bungie could normalize stats with simple math. Thus eliminating the need to code the weapon per gamemode. This makes more sense because the iron banner unnormalizes all stats and it is PvP.

At the expense of everyone else? That's insanely selfish. The point you made was that the game wasn't only PvP. That doesn't change the fact that PvP does still exist, and with it, comes the need for balance so 'everyone' can have a good time. Not just one guy with a certain gun. Do you not believe everyone should have fun?

No not everybody should or will have fun. Life isn't about fair, it's about working to get something better then the next guy, weather skill or luck. When people win the lotto do they say "that's not fair I want everyone to win so I will give everyone's money back", when you get a promotion do you refuse because people lost out on that job? No you count your blessings and move on. If he got an absolute trash gun from the raid and posted himself going 4 and 24 would people be saying "that's not fair"? No they'd be in here laughing at him for working so hard for nothing, and telling him to suck it up.

Lack of skill would be the most denominating factor in that example of yours. Not his gun. Regardless of what your ideals are in a video game, the point of it is for people to have fun. The gun will get nerfed in PvP, obviously. Give it a few days or a week and all fusion rifles will. I guarantee it.

Then it will need to be sniper rifles, then scout rifles, then pulse rifles, then auto rifles again, then maybe hand cannons, then shotguns again, and so on and so on. Something will always be "the best" choice. As long as pve players are forced into the crucible for bounties they will use the most effective means to complete it, as fast as possible, so they can get back to pve.

Iron Banner is a specific special case of Crucible where there is no normalization. You go in with what you have.
