Why are people so bad at crucible?
It gets irritating when literally everyone on my team has a 0.50 KDR and we lose by a couple hundred points.
I would honestly like to know why these types of people even play crucible, because it can't be very enjoyable having a negative KDR. Please stop playing cannon fodder and giving the enemy free kills.

My question to you however is, what are you doing to improve the community? It's easy to sit and bitch about "everyone sucks at crucible" but the difficult part is trying to be constructive with your criticism. Why not attempt to help folks out? give some tips? Foster some newbies under your supposed elite wings? Or would you rather just sit back and complain? Take the CoD route. Everyone sucks and only I can PvP. Yeah, that'll really help. To be completely transparent here, I'm not great at PvP myself. I never picked up this game with the intention of doing a ton of crucible stuff simply because I prefer the exploration and co-op elements more. You've added a quote from the crucible and that's cute. But let me remind you that in the overall story, the crucible itself is simply a place for guardians to test their skills. Build their abilities. The guardians are the only light against the darkness. 1 ReplyAs a pariah in PvP. I humbly acknowledge that each time my guardian racks up a death, I serve the greater good by helping to build the confidence of some lil kid somewhere. Artificially inflating their sense of self worth that they will need in the "real world" when the time comes. Were it not for each of those deaths endured, how would so many of you have the great k/d that you possess? I am certain that when you "own" a team that is [i]burdened[/i] by players of lesser caliber you don't think. "Aww man that sucks for the guy/girl on top of that steaming pile of corpses. " Instead you anoint yourself "king of the world" and as the song goes from your favourite movie you think "Everything is Awesome" Think it's time I fire up the crucible, I feel like building the egos of guardians everywhere while I go after my last exotic....Thorn.

Because everyone's gotta start somewhere. I'm a super casual gamer (this and halo are the only Fps games that I play) so this is my first time actually playing pvp online competitively. Cut the newer players some slack, you weren't a master the first time you played pvp online. My k/d ratio is somewhere around .75 and I'm ok with that because I'm usually in the top three on my team. Plus, its not like the crucible is actually balanced in it's matchmaking, inflating and deflating peoples k/d depending a on the opponents.

This game has some of the worst pvpers I've seen in any game. That being said, Bungie should have had a ranked playlist or at least group players with similar win/loss, score per game etc. Also, the fact that you can't communicate to people on your team is a big factor too in my opinion.

6 RepliesI'm awful, but how am I going to get any better if I don't play some? I've been avoiding the crucible since the game started because I've NEVER PvP'd before. But it's part of the game, and there is cool gear involved so why shouldn't I try? It isn't my fault that the matchmaking sucks and that I can't choose a "noob" arena :P If it were an option, I'd do that and stay there until I'd gotten better. So give "these types of people" a break, will you? We paid for the game too. Join a clan, find 5 friends so that you never have to play with PUGs.

Playing clash yesterday with a friend, a group on the other team with a group of 4 on mine. 3 of my team mates had 4 kills between them in an entire game. That was my crucible done for the month. What were they thinking when they incorporated these things into a game?

At the end of the day, you didn't buy the game for everyone. People paid their money and are free to do and play whatever they want. No matter what you say, its not up to you who plays what mode. grow up ffs. Play whatever you want people, ITS YOUR GAME, not the twat op's.

4 RepliesOne problem I have is all the post death kill bull crap. I shoot a guy with an AR to death only to find that the same dude aparently killed me way after he dies. It is complete garbage. It makes it hard to be competitive when the actual game is crap.

1 ReplyI rarely played PVP before Destiny, only played the story mode of games. I decided to give it a shot. Played for about 2 hours, sucked of course, got frustrated, won't be back. I'll stick to strikes and solo missions. I wish there were beginner parts in the crucible for people like myself, so we could ease into it, and try to enjoy it.

1 ReplyThis game appeals to a lot more than classic fps players that's why. I loathe CoD and the likes, I find them boring as hell. I play rpgs, but I love destiny and they force me to do pvp for exotic bounties and crucible marks, but I'm fully aware I'm awful.

It's a game bro. I play for fun, throw some money in there and I'll get right up in this "5.0 K/D or gtfo" with you... But the fact is, it's a game... It's not like I'm gonna go in for getting the best score of all for bragging rights, it's not hard to think that people are enjoying leisure games.

Out of practice. Can't play as much as I used to. Getting old. Getting screwed by the loot table and was stuck with weapons I disliked for about 20ish hours of gameplay. Also lag. I have way too many post mortem medals.

Practice makes perfect. How do you expect these "bad" crucible players to improve?? The only way they'll improve their crucible game is by playing more and going against better players.
