We have pushed a fix live that should effectively restore the connectivity for University networks that recently lost the ability to connect. Research is ongoing for players receiving CENTIPEDE errors when signing in.
[b]UPDATE [10/6][/b] The 1.0.2.1 patch coming out tomorrow (October 7th) may help with the recent CENTIPEDE issue that some players encounter when logging in. This patch will help identify accounts that are hitting this specific version of the CENTIPEDE error and in certain cases allow us to fix the problem. We are continuing to investigate all forms and causes of CENTIPEDE errors.
[b]UPDATE [10/3][/b] The CENTIPEDE error currently tracks two separate issues. In this update, we have information about both.
First, on Tuesday 9/30, we deployed a change to increase Destiny’s tolerances for poor network conditions. This change reduced CENTIPEDE errors by 16%.
Second, this week we have investigated the different ways an account could have trouble when attempting to access a character. Our research has discovered several different patterns and a number of possible causes. We are currently testing a new update that will allow us to detect affected accounts and in specific cases, fix them. We expect to complete testing of this update next week. Implementation will follow as soon as possible afterwards.
[b]UPDATE [9/30 3:30PM][/b]
In our process of preparing this fix, we discovered an issue that will require additional time to resolve. To ensure a complete fix, we are estimating the fix to be available by the beginning of next week at earliest. We will continue to update here and on our main CENTIPEDE help page.
[b]UPDATE [9/30 1:45PM][/b]
A fix went out on the 27th for players reporting accounts that are seeing CENTIPEDE errors specifically while signing in with their characters. This fix worked for some players, but not all. We have a new fix arriving tomorrow that we believe will help even more players.

[/b]The fix we are applying is to solve for players that can't get past the start screen to character select without hitting CENTIPEDE. This fix will not help those that are already playing and get disconnected with CENTIPEDE errors.
We have applied the fix to the majority of the reported accounts, and there is a good chance you can now play. Please test your account and reply to your post here to let us know if it worked! It is especially helpful for us to hear if our fix is allowing you to play. If you are still having problems please be patient as we apply the fix to all impacted accounts.

Gt Beyond Rouge Xbox 360 all I get is centipede and hawk nothing else really and not being able to go to the tower and play for a good 30min because of random ass Xbox live disconnected and it sucks with a game that had its kind of budget and beta :(

Whats the point, your game doesnt work stop freaking coming out with new crap when you guys cant even make what we have work. Your community activities are just to distract us and keep us playing. It is 04/11/14 in Melbourne, Australia and I haven't been able to sign on to Destiny on my PS4 since 29/10/14 and I keep getting this message [b]EVERY[/b] time I try: "You have lost connection with the Destiny Servers. Your permissions to access online multiplayer may have changed or your profile may have been signed in elsewhere." What is really happening! And how long is going to take to fix?! Oh, yes I forgot, there is also message underneath the first one: "For more information, visit help.bungie.net." I have been visiting help.bungie.net for [b]DAYS[/b] and gotten [b]NOWHERE!![/b] I have contacted PlayStation Support, Australia and although they have tried to help, the problem is [b] obviously[/b] with Bungie, yet they will [b]NOT[/b] let you contact support directly.

Gamertag: King Charos Console: Xbox 360, Digital Downloaded Destiny game. Region: West USA, Washington State. ISP: Comcast. 40Mbps Down 23Mbps Up. Errors: Caterpillar, Hawk, and Hare. Info: I've been experiencing the Caterpillar errors like everyone else since the day I bought Destiny. It was fixed around 10-17-14 when the patch went live. I played for 1 week without lags/error codes. Come the 1.0.2.3 or W'E number, on 10-24-14 I started lagging out of Destiny and Xbox LIVE with the error codes Caterpillar about 80% of the time with Hawk and Hare sharing 20%, 10% of the time each.
