I stopped reading when you said "however 90% of PVP is Shotguns and Fusion rifles, 5% AR's and 5% OP Warlocks... For me that is"
I always thought Warlocks were the most OP class when the beta/game came out, but now that the game has been out for a while, Warlocks are EASILY the weakest class. Titans dominate PvP. 90% of my deaths have been from Titans who seem to have triple the amount of health as Hunters/Warlocks. That in combonation with shotguns makes them seem way too powerful. Shotguns are NOT overpowered in the slightest. They're one of the only guns that take skill. Anyone who uses a shotgun(excluding the VoG shotty) knows that the range is awful. You've got to be within arms reach to get a one shot. Meanwhile people with Fusion Rifles and Auto Rifles can just run around and blow everyone away.
Bladedancer needs a huge nerf as well. Do that and make the Warlock have a shield or something when using Nova Bomb and the classes would be perfect.

Edited by WarNerve: 9/27/2014 11:54:18 PMThe classes do not need to be balanced. Each class has it's strength and weaknesses. It's a multiplayer game, the classes support one another with their abilities. I hate class "balance". It defeats the purpose of having different classes. Not sure why it double posted this....
-
If you don't think the classes need to be balanced then you haven't played PvP enough. Not classes specifically, but abilities definitely need t be changed around for PvP
-
Let me stop you with two words. "Blade Dancer" When a Hunter running that Focus takes four rockets and various other fire from two other Guardians and one popping the Fist of Havoc and the Hunter with Blade Dancer still comes out on top....... Yea, Titan and Warlock aren't the OP ones lol. This is from my persepective and my two buddies who ARE HUNTERS and say its OP as kinds of crazy.
-
I said Bladedancer was OP. But the rest of the Hunter class is fine. Titans as an entirety are just way to powerful for PvP. They need to be nerfed for Crucible play.
-
Nope, your just a sshurt that a Titan killed you. Gtfo, scrub.
-
Yeah, and it looks like all 3 classes killed you. A lot :) sucks to suck
-
I'm not a fa ggot retard who plays a shi tty a ss version of Halo then whine when the PvE crwod gets all the stuff you want becuase you're a moron. PvP is for knuckle dragging apes with no intellegence. Git Gud, Scrub.
-
Except it's superior to Halo in every way PvP wise, gg. I never whined about not getting things. I've gotten plenty of drops from both missions and PvP. PvP definitely gives more. You're starting to sound like an idiot so maybe you should just stop now
-
If that's where you stopped reading, you should go back and give it a go. Take the subjective parts out. The rest is still discomforting.
-
Don't worry, I did still read it, that's just where I stopped to comment. I disagree with most of his points. The game isn't being cut and sold back to us, it's locked and will be unlocked naturally like Bungie said it would multiple times. Just like the Vault of Glass. We've got tons of stuff coming, Bungie just wants us to play and get ready. We weren't ready for the VoG, god knows what else they have in store.
-
You forgot to include that it will cost you 40 dollars to unlock this content. Which is what he meant by "cut and sold back"
-
You forgot the part where I said no you don't. Bungie said there will be 2 expansion passes. They will add content, but beyond that there are no other expansion packs planned. THOSE are what you will be paying for. What is locked in the game are things that we will unlock for free. Again, like the Vault of Glass. Nothing that is in Destiny right now, locked or not, will ever need to paid for to play. The point of locking it is so those people who blow through the game in 2 days don't ruin it for everyone and post walkthroughs so even when you finally reach that new place, you know exactly how to beat it. By locking the content, everyone gets a fair chance to experience new things in the game together. New or old. That's what makes it superior to other FPS games. You could buy the game a month from now and be playing something that no one else has played either.
-
Uh huh, except they said that the only way to get to these places are in the expansions. (which I might add use the same maps)
-
No they didn't. The expansions are adding something for the Fallen on Earth and the Hive on the Moon I believe. As well as a new subclass, armor, weapons, emblems.. etc.. Everything else in Destiny will be available for free
-
Edited by Kami: 9/28/2014 12:22:42 AMActually I read somewhere that one of the DLC I think the Fallen one will unlock the Jovian Complex strike on earth. Something about 1 new strike per expansion AND supposedly 1 raid each. I forgot where I read it but it made sense when it explained it on there. Of course it could probably be complete bs

Edited by A Saturnalia: 9/28/2014 12:24:17 AM
While Bungie is running special events with special rewards in the PvP Crucible mode, and while end-game raids are on the near horizon, I’m mostly concerned with the game’s paid expansions. The first one, The Dark Below, launches in December for $19.99. Now this is quite a lot of cash to lay down after already dropping $59.99. And while Bungie has confirmed that the expansion will include a new story and new content for each of the game’s modes—story, Patrol, Strike, Crucible—they’ve also confirmed that it will reuse some of the game’s areas.Which makes me want to gnash my teeth and rend my garments. If the game were truly open world, this wouldn’t be an issue since retreading old ground is sort of the par for the course in game’s like Skyrim and most MMOs. But in a game delineated into very specific, instanced missions, reusing so much of the same territory is extremely frustrating. Playing through the same enemies in the same zones in several different game modes is irksome and tedious, and I can only imagine my frustration at this after spending another twenty dollars. Perhaps even worse is the way the expansions will begin to fracture the game’s community. When certain maps or game modes are only available to gamers who purchase the DLC, this creates a segmented community. We see this with Call of Duty each year, but it’s almost more crucial to an MMO-like game for everyone to be able to play in the same arenas.
Also, how are those "new" bounties going for the queens wrath? Seeing that that was free. I am certainly proud that after doing one of the bounties and having to play the exact same mission I've played 100 times only to find out the rewards aren't even worth doing.
-
It said will reuse some of the same zones. That's to be expected. To get to a new area of an old place you kind of have to, you know, go to the old place.
-
Of which is blocked off by a "pay wall." Learn to context.
-
Okay, that's reasonable. I just think that with the amount of nerd rage going on in here, they would say something. The game IS different than what they showed. It DOES seem incomplete for an off the shelf purchase. That's all.
-
Shotguns are NOT overpowered in the slightest. They're one of the only guns that take skill.
Are you kidding me? Shotguns are waaay too OP. I can 2 shot someone cross-room with one... That says a lot of a gun that should be very close quarters.
-
Then you've got a unique shotgun. I use the Comedian and all of the generic blue/green I got leveling up. Never once did I ever get anything but a hit marker on people unless I was a couple steps next to them. Auto Rifles and Fusion Rifles are MUCH more OP than Shotguns. Nerf the classes and you'll see.
-
I'm going to be honest, shotguns are rather OP as of now with their range. I've played tons of PvP with all 3 of my characters. Those shotguns have TOO MUCH RANGE, it's insane. You probably just have bad luck with em'. I use em too so I can see how bad it is when I'm on the killer side. And no it's not something about certain shotguns, I use whatever shotguns I get (if they have better stats or a perk I like.) So I know.
-
I almost exclusively use shotguns. I do fine in PvP, but I get killed by Fusion Rifles unfairly more than I get killed by shotguns. Shotguns should be the last thing they nerf imo
-
Stop nerf calling!! You people ruin games.
-
People who exploit overpowered combinations ruin games. Look at the MP40 with drum mag in World at War.
