All of the closed off sections from Beta are still in the game. Ex., King's Watch, Jovian Complex. All the fanboys said it was just so we wouldnt see it all in Beta. Please dont tell me Bungie is pulling the "on-disc DLC" shenanigans.

Edited by WickedIronAngel: 9/28/2014 5:57:58 AMYeah I really figured that the beta was a tease and they closed off areas so we'd get to explore and play them later but that's not the case, it took me a month to explore all of the original Skyrim map and I almost felt like it wasn't going to end. I'm very disappointed I feel rather boxed in the areas are so small.

12 RepliesI completely agree with you! Had I known there would be this much content left out I would not have bought the game! I'm so tired of these companies doing this to us, dlc is fine but only if it's made AFTER launch because the game is successful. That's what dlc is supposed to be. Extra content that was not originally planned because people can't get enough of your game and want more of it! I love destiny so far but as a consumer I can definitely say that I will not be purchasing any dlc, and I've started doing this with all the games I play. I haven't bought dlc since MW2 and don't plan on doing so anytime soon. If they wanted more money for the game then the shouldn't have priced it at 60 bucks.

12 RepliesEdited by FalconStrike98: 9/29/2014 12:48:53 PMNo idea, but you can glitch your way into King's Watch. I did it yesterday, found 2 dead ghosts and fought off a bunch of level 20 dregs, vandals, and a boss. The fallen had set up a base with yellow banners and stuff. The boss was like a Fallen Priest. Edit: For those asking, just search on YouTube "Destiny King's Watch." Plenty of those videos still work. If you'd like to use the one I used, here you go. http://youtu.be/q12A1ozChWc

Edited by MysticJon: 9/28/2014 12:00:03 AMIt's on-disc DLC. Plain and simple. -blam!-ing disgusting. I put the blame for that on Activision though, not Bungie. Seems exactly like the way Activision handles things.

Because Activion is run by greedy yokels
-
Well a recent post shows it off as part of the expansions my friend sorry
-
Same with the citadel
-
I dont really care about if the content is already there. What O care about is that fact that there will be so little content on each dlc! Come on, this game was supposed to be a huge game and now with this information it doesnt seem like that is the case at all.
-
You called it, on disc dlc, i think that's more Activison than bungie

1 ReplyWhy should I spent any further money on this ripp off game if we get a shitload of other games at the same time the dlc's come out? WoW Addon - They'll lose 90% of the people which would really sink into raids. Dragon Age - They'll lose most of the casuals In the end the only people which will stay and buy the dlc's are the die hard fans. But with the activision pricing policy I don't think that even those would let themselves ripped off with content allready developed and cleared in 1-2 days for ONLY 14,99$

They're called pay gates and they declared war on your bank account.

Yeah in the beta I noticed these areas. On my first earth patrol it was the first place I headed to expecting it to be open. While I'm not too disappointed I hope they don't unlock it as paid dlc rather than free updates.

KIngs Watch $14.95 Jovian Complex $19.95 Seraphim Vault $14.95

12 RepliesI believe I may have the answer to this. Head over to destinydb.info and you'll likely find some answers. Firstly, the Jovian Complex is a Strike, likely in The Dark Below. http://db.destinytracker.com/activities/1484800498 Secondly, I believe the King's Watch to be an area for a campaign mission in House of Wolves expansion. However, this area is very small and only houses Fallen Kings, so I could be wrong. http://db.destinytracker.com/activities/2537449000 And Thirdly, the infamous Seraphim Vault, again, seems to be part of The Dark Below. A giant vault and "Long hidden secret of the golden age" seem to go hand in hand. Also, if you look through, you'll find tons of stuff not in the game, including a black garden strike, which sounds really, really cool. Saying that, I actually believe the two missing strikes may be free, as the Hypogium seems irrelevant to both the Hive and Fallen. If not, I'll still buy it, I just want them to release more damn content.
-
I really hope it's not the case, but we've got to prepare for the worst and understand that there is a possibility that they'll charge for it later. Which is really disappointing considering King's Watch already had enemies in it, and the Bunker was seemingly finished or at least close to it.
-
Yep, they are.
-
If you were guessing, what would you say ? Yep ... that's why.
-
Its to make people buy it It will be a new part of the story Maybe we didnt need them fir this part?
-
13 RepliesOn-Disc DLC content. Bungie made a full game and locked off certain parts behind pay walls. When expansions are released, you can pay to unlock the doors to those already finished areas. -blam!-ing disgusting.

5 RepliesWhere are these closed off areas?

9 RepliesBecause they are until they aren't. Deal with it.
