Ascendant shards?
Just out of curiosity, where can I get ascendant shards? I'm level 28 and I need to level up my gear. I used to get them from legendaries like the queens rewards, but the shards no longer come from them. Is this true for all legendaries? I used to get them from public events as well but I'm not getting rewarded for them either. I've been doing strikes and crucible but they don't seem to be showing up anywhere besides the vault of glass. Any pointers? Not trying to complain just feel like I missed something.

You are able to dismantle any legendary gear and get ascended shards from them. It was only the queens gear which doesn't drop shards.

It must be simply random, I'm lvl 23 only completed 3 public events so far but i got a shard from each one of them, one just yesterday

I was getting them from legendaries too then when the updates they blocked it... But I dismantled a legendary helmet last night and got 3 ascendant shards.. So I think it just Pot luck atm.. Other than that it's public events.. The odd weekly strike... Sometimes if u come in third place on the nightfall map each week .. 1st week I got 11 strange coins but a friend this week got 9 shards...

Same here!, I did 13 lvl 24 strikes last night, and not once did I get any Shards :( with the new patch coming next week (1.0.2) hopefully this will sort it out :)

I thought I was the only one not getting rewards from public events I did three the other day got gold on all of them and didn't get anything but my fireteam all got ascend shards and what not I'm being robbed 😭
