Yesteryday's network Issues has caused bugged accounts

I've been on the forums reading about others suffering issues with their accounts since the network hiccup yesterday afternoon/evening (EST) and have come to the conclusion (as others have) that we all suffered some sort of item bug due to a rollback. During the rollback'd period, we had made changes to items (identifying them, depositing them, etc) and this is the cause of our issue. I'm making this post because everyone's issues are being continuously buried under rants and other posts and I have yet to see this issue catching any Bungie employee's attention. If you believe you are experiencing this issue or have any other information that might help further narrow down the cause of this bug please do so. Our centipede errors are not a network issue and WILL NOT sort themselves out on their own or through changes in our network. I've also included below some symptoms for those unsure if they are affected by this issue. Symptoms: - Experienced a rollback yesterday returning items to prior states (from identified to encrypted, back in inventory from vault) - Get Centipede errors when trying to connect after late afternoon (EST) yesterday - Your Bnet Destiny profile is failing to load while logged into your account (and sometimes when not) - Other accounts work on your console/network Please help bring this to Bungie's attention and get us an official response of acknowledgement. EDIT: My experience. In the events leading up to and following yesterday's hiccup I started out in cosmodrome and returned to the tower. In the tower I grabbed my public event reward from the post master and proceeded to deposit three ascendant shard I was awarded into my vault. I may have also turned in a bounty and replaced or with a new one, but i cannot confirm this with full confidence. Afterwards I returned to the cosmodrome (patrol) and continued doing bounties and patrol missions. I was kicked back shortly afterwards and was returned to orbit. I noticed my character had lost the experience gained during the patrol causing me to return to level 7. I loaded up patrol again and leveled myself to 8. After finishing my patrol bounty I began the first mission to kill raksis(or something like that) and was continually kicked to orbit with varying errors including centipede and monkey mostly. After a few failed attempts I decided to log out. Upon trying to reconnect I continually got centipede errors. I decided there may be some network issues and turned my console off. I tried again this morning and the problem persisted and that's when I began my own investigation.

  • This is happening to me but i get all errors ever sense the 26th i have gotten it...i get baboon,centipede,canary,cattle etc and sometimes even cat but there is no download so cat does not even make sense...plz plz i really hope they fiz this as i bloody love this game

    let me try to explain my problem. Thursday September 25th. I was enjoying Destiny with my brother (on the same network) without any problems. no centipede, bee or any other error message or dropouts. then that day came to an end. Friday September 26th. I felt like buying myself a new weapon for my warlock. so i started up my Xbox One and booted up Destiny. i pressed "A" to start, waited for the game to let me choose my character, but then the game throws a "centipede" error at my face. I have had some centipede errors at Destiny, but that was around launch day, and never before i have gotten to the character selection screen. I tried many things: * restart the network router * restarted my Xbox * connected to the 5Ghz Wireless network (was connected to the 2.4Ghz) then i noticed something. my brother could play Destiny without any problem. i logged on to my bungie account at Destiny.net to check on my character, but then i was met with an "Unable to load Destiny account." then i asked my brother to log in to Destiny.net he could look at his character(s) without any problem. at that point, i'm pretty sure that it is a problem with my account rather than a network issue. side note: there has never been any major network issues at my home. i think something happened after the latest patch / update. if you find some grammar that doesn't look correct, then i have to say that English is not my main language (i'm from Norway) hope you can fix this problem Bungie.         • I'm going to keep posting my gamer tag until it gets fixed. I understand natural problems will occur with games. This is rediculous though. You guys made one of, if not the best online game with millions of people playing at a time. Don't tell me you don't know how to control the servers or whatever is going on. I lost progress, items including exotic, legendary and strange coins that are not refunded. All my progress was lost from the prior day (yesterday), and for what reason? Please, just spruce up the communication and have activision have a call center set up specifically for destiny. It's crazy how you guys don't have any form of communication with us besides forums.           • I don't know if this is related, but for approx. 2 days now the game world has been completely empty. Nobody in the tower, no other players found in any multiplayer game type. The rest of my xbox live account seems to be working fine.

            12 hours have passed since any update from Bungie. Is this really not a high priority item? [b]Innocent people are locked out of their accounts here.[/b] With the original poster (Endlex) still waiting and no one confirming that their account has been fixed, my guess is that we are all going to miss our opportunity to play with our friends and family this weekend, as well as miss out on Xur and the remaining days left with Queen's Wrath. All of this and with [b]zero compensation[/b] in sight; prepare to suck it up and lose some progress everybody. Bungie is too busy with the next patch to satisfy 150+ users that can't even login, we just happened to be playing during their last hotfix and unfortunately we have to "pay the price." The real question we all need to start asking is, [b]"What kind of compensation will we be getting for your mistake, Bungie?"[/b] We paid real money for your product which we haven't been able to access for nearly 48 hours, while being left in the dark for 12 consecutive hours. This is a business and a professional business company would start laying down a plan to compensate their customers. Its time to get on the phone with Activision.
