If Bungie knows what they're doing, and that's questionable, it would be best to take advantage of this while you can. Changing the spawn conditions for the loot cave was a chea[p/stupid way of "fixing" the "problem" but if they ever put some actual work into it and make it so you actually need to shoot something to get credit for a drop/experience then the entire cave farming system would be in a whole different world of trouble.
