What a cluster-blam!-! Bungie you guys really are idiots!
EDIT: To all the idiots claiming this isn't an MMO keep drinking the kool-aid. This is most certainly a subgenre of the MMO variety. MMOFPS is the exact term. From the repetitive grindy quests to the random loot to the god damned raiding major components are pulled from the MMO genre.
2nd Edit: Guess there is a new loot cave. For those that are not quitting the game enjoy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wfxf7V_cljA&feature=youtu.be

6 RepliesWhat they did was patch an exploit. An exploit that allowed people to farm for equipment without risk. Risk/Reward is a system most games do so I fail to see why this is a surprise to anyone... Seriously, multiple 20+ players standing and shooting low level foes because the engrams they dropped a heck of a lot of could give gear much higher than the creatures being killed. It was an exploit and it was patched. We aren't talking about farming boars for a couple of exp a pop outside Stormwind with Cartman and crew. You are meant to work for things not just get them for nothing more than standing still and pressing a button every few seconds.

3 RepliesBro do you know what MMO means? MASSIVE MULTIPLAYER So if you think 3 to 6 is massive, CoD and Halo must be SUPERMMOS gg
-
2 RepliesIt's not an MMO is a SPO (Some people online)

I thought the same thing, when they nerfed the queens armor from giving ascendant materials. Smh. Then again, if the different missions didn't give me the same helmet with different stats 6 times, then I wouldn't break them down. But, I have no need. Nerfing it is ridiculous, considering how many shards you need to actually upgrade all of your equipment. You only get 1 or 2 from items, along with like 2 weapon parts or 2 plasteel plates and 25 or so glimmer. Scrooge McDuck owns this game lol.
-
I feel sorry for all the hive that died in the exploit they didn't even get a chance too come out of that cave and see the world nor fight back.
-
I was thinking the same
-
Why are you people so upset? You can still go fire at the hole all day if you want haha
-
3 RepliesExploiting is not farming. You were exploiting. Next thread.

Still not an MMO but even offline RPGs focus on grinding and farming and this IS an RPG. A game like Defiance, that crappy MMO/TV show with weird bug aliens, that can have 100+ people in a zone is an MMOFPS. A game where you can only have a little over 10 people in the same zone can not be considered "Massively Multiplayer". But yes while I don't do it I still say farming is a legitimate way to get gear.
-
exactly mate, heaven forbid farming for materials in an mmo type game...
-
Destiny isn't an MMO and the cave wasn't farming it was being an impatient dumbass.

1 ReplyThey haven´t told you "DO NOT FARM IN THE CAVE" They just gave more time to spawn in many caves If you still want to farm Well.. just do it... who is the person stoping you??? They haven´t say anything about droping the rate of the drops or something...

1 ReplyUgh I found the this area first and uploaded a video yet everyone keeps giving this guy credit and I get no views :( uploaded mine a day before him.

1 ReplyIt is not a MMO, a real MMO will take you 200 hours to level cap and you will enjoy most missions because of the lore and sense of achievement. And another 200 hours to get a Tier 1 full gear generally only through raid or PvP where you will do them because you will get a piece of gear almost guaranteed every 2-3 runs. Destiny you takes less than 20 hours to level cap, then can take you another 100 hours to reach lvl30, but you will NEVER enjoy the lore, because there is none. And why would you do a strike if you've done it more than 20 times already and never got a legendary gear out of it? So no doubt Destiny is not a MMO. It is a pseudo FPS-co-op-dungeon crawler with a lack luster loot system which can be very entertaining when playing with friends but extremely boring when playing alone.

Poor bungie. "Our game isn't an MMO" Internet guy: "NO YOU IDIOTS THIS GAME IS CLEARLY AN MMO 6 PLAYERS IS CLEARLY MASSIVE"
