75% of legendary gear is not gated by PVP. Do not state something that is clearly incorrect and is an untrue statistic being used to emphasize the point you are trying to make. How can you say that this game is biased towards PvP? I am a heavy PvP player, it's what I know and what I'm good at. However at the bare minimum half of my gear has come from the PvE realm. To say this game caters to the PvP is complete nonsense. If I'm not mistaken PvE has six bounties a day just like PvP does. The queen bounties have 3 PvP and 3 PvE last I checked. PvE has Nightfall strikes which gives you a guaranteed exotic, legendary, set of ascendant shards/energies. PvE has weekly strikes that reward you with up to 9 strange coins that can be used with Xur to buy Exotics. PvE has Raids which gives you the chance at some great gear. Then with the great abundance of engrams that you get from PvE you can keep leveling the Cryptarch with potential chances to unlock exotics/legendaries. Now then, we come to the exotic bounties. I see nothing wrong with how they are currently set up. They are their on unique types of bounties and should have requirements from both aspects of the game. If anything the exotic bounties have more PvE in them than they do PvP. The three exotice bounties I have completed have had ONE PvP requirement (which are not really that difficult when you think about it, 500 points of void damage probably being the toughest one). These are top items in the game and should be difficult and challenging to achieve. If you want The problem I have with Strictly PvE people is they don't like to compete, they simply want to take the easy road and mind numbingly shoot AI for hours knowing eventually they will get great gear after eventually playing enough to exploit bosses or establish patterns that will take away any challenge presented. In my opinion this is what makes you people bad in the PvP world because you are not used to fighting against another human that thinks, strategizes and where unknown variables occur. As a result you attack Bungie for trying to get you people out of your comfort zone and step up to a challenge. Being a PvP player, I don't like all the PvE stuff I have to do to get the things I want but I suck it up and do it anyways without complaining. We are all going to come across aspects of the game we aren't particularly fond of. Bungie simply can not Cater to any one single persons or groups needs due to the quantity of people who play this game. I am all for your suggestions for dual bounty requirements and opening the vendors to both currencies. I feel that would add to the value of the game for everyone. I just hate the fact that a majority of you bash Bungie with a lot of BS statistics and "facts" when they are untrue. I ultimately feel Bungie has made a very good and balanced game with challenging elements to it. Most of all the whining needs to come to an end and you sometimes have to nut up and do things you don't want to do in life.

I agree, I remember reading in GameInformer months ago their interview with the developers. The developers saying pvp is there if you want it but its not important to those who will never touch it........but alas, if you want those faction legendaries. .......

So how come people who focus on PvP don't complain about the pve components of the bounties? I personally play both, but I've yet to see a post on this site demanding the removal of pve requirements for exotic bounties. The PvP components aren't as bad as they look, you don't need to totally dominate a match to complete it. You don't even have to do very well. It's just as fair to make the pve focused people PvP as it is to make the PvP people do pve, yet only one group is complaining, think about that.

Yeah I don't even take the PvP bounties. Not worth it. I'm not terrible in PvP, as I have played a lot of it over the years since many console games don't have deep PvE experiences... I just don't do them because PvP is much less enjoyable to me. I value my enjoyment of the gameplay more than the rewards I could get from doing PvP. I haven't even completed one PvP match on my Hunter character.

I should have listened to my first instinct when I heard about Destiny, but admittedly I was caught up in the hype train and the beta caught my interest. So I thought Id give it a try and for a while there my friends and I had a blast. Then as level 20 hit and the impossibility to level up at a reasonable pace do to the horrible loot system, the honeymoon goggles of Bungies's first independent title began to wear off. I saw it for what it was....a corporate cash train running on the fan base of Halo fans. A loot system that requires hours on hours of grinding with no reward only to be chastised by Bungie for finding a way to feel somewhat of a satisfaction of being rewarded for farming at the Cave of Wonders, a guild level system that, again, requires hours and hours of grinding for barely any payoff and god forbid you actually buy something from one of the factions because you wont be able to buy anything for 2 weeks from the same one due to the 100 mark limit, areas being removed for further implementation in DLC, a story that just doesnt exist, not explanation of anything in the game other than the occasional fun fact by the "wonderful" Peter D. It all adds up to disappointment.

Yesterday the Queen's bounties were 4/2 in favor of PvE, haven't checked today. That's hardly an "extreme" bias. It's more than justifiable to ask for PvP requirements for exotic gear. They are generally the best-in-slot in both areas so it's not unreasonable to ask for requirements in both areas. And don't bring up other MMO's. This isn't an MMO according to Bungie (even though it is) and even in those, PvP gear usually has different stat distrubution so it's only really usable in PvP. "All these pvp events"...haha. That's why 3 of the 4 daily/weekly resets are PvE...

Has anyone made innuendo of what he would prefer shoved down his throat? Anyone?! I never thought i'd say this...but i'm losing faith in the internet's juvenile sense of humor...

I'm kinda considering ditching my Thorn bounty. Really can't be bothered with or motivated to do PvP.

I detest PvP. If I want to play PvP I go to battlefield. Where getting a kill takes skill. Not the casual catered nonsense that PvP is in destiny.

Agreed, I really have no interest in PvP in this game. I know plenty of people do like it and they should have challenges and event for those who are into pvp, but at the moment it seem a lot of the focus in regards to bounty's is for PvP. I would even mind that if it just told you before you picked and exotic bounty that it contains PvP elements, then I would have to waste my time on the first part only to be disappointed.

thank you for posting this. i have been saying the same thing since the beta. this game was heavily mis-advertised and i have been very disappointed by how much progress i have missed out on compared to the people i play with because they play pvp and i dont. a perfect example is the amount of time it takes me to farm 50 consumables to get 5 crucible marks. in that same time, my friends can play enough pvp games to attain 6-10 marks, so i am always trailing behind each week. i am a pve player, and i will soon be moving onto a true pve co-op game if there is not some kind of change soon.
