Nerfing Shotguns is no longer enough - reset the abusers characters
As title says,
People abusing shotguns and particularly titans in crucible are NOT unaware that they are cheating
Please reset their characters/stats/gear

Usually in the top 2 people per match. I don't know why you think shotguns are op and people with them are always being the best. Even going through your profile you look like you have pretty good score overall As for what you were saying in your post I really hope you're a troll and not serious. If you are serious all I can say is you're stupid. THEY ARE NOT CHEATING. Simple. It is in the game and was there since day 1 of the alpha, beta, and launch. Just like in every other shooter game in the world a shotgun up close is 1 shot 1 kill. Don't like it? Leave the entire genre of game. We won't miss you. Resetting accounts is the most brain dead stupid idea I have ever heard of. How about I just say "hey, I really hate the rocket launcher let's just remove it and every player in the game that has ever used one" all this thread does is make you sound stupid. Ps: If you think someone from bungie would really look at this and go "hmmm lets listen to this 1 raging troll and do exactly what he said!" Then I have no words to describe how wrong you are.

I am enjoying this thread. Play smarter, 1/2 these shotgun guys will try to run at you with a shot gun, you should be able to mow them down before they get to you. I use shotguns quite often myself, I've been guilty of the man they're far but if i keep shooting I might get lucky, that hardly happens against a good player shooting you from distance.

6 RepliesThere's this new exploit I found. Some players seem to be able to run around the map and even shoot at me occasionally! This is absolute bull, bungie should nerf players being able to move around, it makes them hard to shoot. While they're at it, they should get rid of walls and doors too. I can't even damage or shoot through walls and I've seen people open and even walk RIGHT THROUGH some doors. Obviously an exploit. I refuse to play until these issues addressed.

Hm... using weapons given to you in game for the purpose of killing, as a tool you use to kill is cheating... We'll crap. I've been cheating this entire time! By your definition, they need to remove all weapons and reset every toon that's ever been in a crucible match. Your logic is [i]perfect[/i].

I guess i dont quite understand. I havnt played a single match on the crucible, since the beta, pvp is not my thing. I dont claim to be an expert, by any means. How are people using shotguns cheating? Are they actually cheating somehow? Or are they just dominating while running around with a shotty?

I see people complaining about the Invective but that thing can't kill in one shot unlike a lot of the other shotguns that can from way outside melee range. Shotguns which anyone can get their hands on. Not all shotguns are bad but some really need a nerf. This is how I think a shotgun should be used http://youtu.be/y2pPWnxKgdU?t=46s . Pretty powerful used on a Titan and 1 shots at a pretty reasonable range and 2 shots at further range. If you watch though for the person who was 2 shotted, there are shotguns that can 1 shot at that range, this is what I am talking about. Those need to be nerfed. But don't say all shotguns/titans are OP because someone is good with them. You know when something is OP when you see a bunch of casuals running around with the same thing and winning. Remember the "noob tube" from Call of Duty? I see people all the time trying to hit me with a shotty from far outside it's effective range. They expect these things to carry them to victory and when they are in any situation that puts them in close proximity, which most maps in this game have, their weapon will most likely win the fight for them. It's the same thing with those "Arcblade noobs" I hear about all the time. I use one too. The damn thing is so easy to use, you can just spam it and get a kill because the tracking is so strong, you can hit someone you don't even know is there. But it's gotten so bad that I have seen people miss me completely with that thing and fly off the ledge behind me. TL;DR: We will always see people exploit easy surekill methods for personal gain rather than just playing the game the way Bungie intended it to be played. If something is being abused/overused over the alternatives then it needs to be nerfed to create balance and make the game fair. A tool should not carry a person to victory but rather the one using it.

Perfectly reasonable request. I also wish to extend this reset to anyone who got past level 4 because using supers is also a flagrant abuse of the system.
