Ok I know it's just a game but it kills me to know that we can play on Venus. No matter what technology you have you can't change the fact that the planet is so close to a star and is about 863 degrees ferenhiet. How the hell are there plants and water flowing. I just think it's funny thats all. Not asking to change anything. Just a post about something else other than complaints and anger.

  • Maybe the traveler partially reversed the atmosphere using magic and then that caused the planet to cool off

  • Love this post. Also how can our gears tech be so advanced to survive an all this, but when it gets dark, my ghost acts as a flashlight? I have a full face HUD with no night vision system? That's what's been bugging me....

This bugged me too, along with the fact that gravity is so immense that we would flatten on the first step out lol. But oh well, its a game and i enjoy it

  • Actually Venus' gravatational pull is quite similar to Earth's. You may be thinking of Jupiter or Saturn.

  • Just so you know, Venus is inside the goldy lox zone where complex life could exist. Venus isn't hot because of the Sun, but it is hot because its dense atmosphere keeps the heat from the Sun at the surface. Plus not many people know it, but in the beginning of our solar system when the planets were starting to become what they are today, Venus was just like the Earth, with oceans and lakes and rivers. The reason Venus is what it is today is because the surface of Venus is filled with hundreds of volcano's that over time the pollution from the eruptions was at great amounts and the Suns heat started to boil the oceans. The planet is now taosted. But you can't just accept that this is a game and anything is possible. The story goes that Venus used to be a paradise, turned into a type of hell, and then the Traveler came and returned it into a paradise.

  • I know its just a game and I know why venus is hot as I already stated.

  • No you stated that the reason Venus is hot is because it is close to the sun. Which is entirely wrong.

  • Actually in another post I also stated that its because it's atmosphere is thick and above 90% CO2. The planet's proximity to Sol also plays a part. It is taking in more radiation than Earth.

  • Actually the reason its so hot is that the clouds trap the heat in from the sun if there were no clouds it would be alot cooler. The gravity there is because of the pressure from the clouds above. Its not impossible just REALLY difficult too do. The lore behind it is the Traveler terraformed the planets making it habbital. So theres your answer ps Iam 14 so if someone wants to rage at me.... Your raging at a 14 years old sooo you most be a big loser then.

  • No one is raging. Atmospheric pressure has nothing to due with gravity. However Venus's atmospheric pressure is 92 times that of Earth. We would be crushed. Gravity is cause by mass, since venus is similar to earth it should be close.

  • 92 times earth's atmospheric pressure? That would be hell on bullet trajectory. All the bitching about temp, you all know sound behaves different also, like on a object of mass with less gravity like the moon. If they could make it accurate that would be bad ass.

  • It would be a cool level. It would be nice if the dynamics of every planet gave a different playing experience. Imagine moving slowly on venus while aiming higher to hit a target.

  • Shadow is completely correct. The atmosphere is what causes the crippling pressure. To explain it it's like going to the bottom of the ocean. The clouds are so thick it is similar to the ocean on earth.
