Emma Watson joins the fray in the feminist crusade

Instead of twitter, a blog or some other method, she went straght to the UN and made a speech there. I think she may find herself at helm of the fight after doing this.

 • Let's see what thought-provoking topics feminism has brought to light today.
Goodwill Ambassador for UN Women
Just curious, who's the Goodwill ambassador for UN men? I don't recall hearing who that is, but it'd be nice to find out. Let's continue.
Feminism by definition.
>definition No surprises there. Marriage by definition is the unity between husband and wife, so I'm sure I'll be seeing Emma protesting against gay marriage soon because it doesn't fit the definition and definitions, as we all know, are the be all and end all of everything.
When I was 8 I was called "bossy".
Let me call Guinness World Records and ask them if I can borrow the world's smallest violin so I can play a song on it just for you, Emma. That story reduced me to tears ;_; 2sad4me #cut4emma. I love how this is coming from an extremely popular celebrity with fame and fortune. Looks like being called bossy really hurt you. Some wounds never heal ;'(
"My girl friends started dropping out of their beloved sports teams because they didn't want to appear muscly".
So your friends made decisions for themselves in a free society? Decisions YOU don't agree with? Good one. Reminds me of groups that demand more women in STEM fields and the like, as if women aren't fewer in numbers there because not as many of them as men WANT to work there. "Why aren't you making the choices I want you to make!" #Oppression
I want men to take up this mantle. So their daughters, sisters and mothers can be free from prejudice

I would like to take this opportunity to extend your formal invitation. Gender equality is your issue, too."
"We want to welcome men with open arms into this discussion to discuss all the problems they've created and how they can fix themselves to become human beings like the rest of us." All the same embarrassing non-issue bullshit we've been propogandised by since day one. And once again everyone buckles and applauds without question for fear of looking bad. It's a complete circlejerk for these higher-ups to look like good people in front of the cameras. Get back to me when these clowns do something worth talking about.
