Defender Ward of Dawn placement tips

Maybe there`s nothing much to it really, but I am sometimes wondering abount efficiency of my bubbling in PvE. I usually try to place it at least partly touching some cover, so we have some defense even when it runs out of jelly, and of course not over some ally that is firing at the moment. And sometimes I place it over dead ally before reviving him. But that are about all my considerations when using that super. I`m not talking about OMG I GONNA DIE NOW situations here, no strategy is needed in that case =) Do you guys have any tips (or even tricks!) for placing bubbles? On a side note, did you ever try to place it on small but elevated place (stone, pillar, etc)? Does it make a sphere, or is it open from below, or doesn`t place at all? I always forget to try =)

A bunch of titans have a tendency of doing more harm than good with their bubbles - by blocking the LoS to the enemies. The enemies don't give a crap about the bubble so they will just rush right through it and by the time they're through they're too close for you to use a RL, without blowing youtself up, and in such numbers that you will have trouble killing them all.

  • The %35 damage buff is realy handy in the raid plus generating orbs for teamates lets you shine as a support class. makes rescue easy in dire situations and yup its a full sphere

  • i was playing the devils lair strike on earth, at the end boss sepiks prime. i placed my shield ( lvl27 titan btw ) and i noticed when i went under the platform at the front of the boss room that ward of dawn does in fact make a complete sphere.

  • I find it very satisfying to revive your teammates inside the bubble :D

    • It is a sphere. I have the upgrade that creates orbs of light when my bubble takes damage so I place it where the most enemies can hit me that way my teammates can get their super. Or between a main boss and where the adds spawn, that way we can handle adds without worrying about taking fire from the boss. If I'm in the nexus, I'll run out in the open and pop the bubble when nexus shield is facing me, that way I grab aggro while his sides and rear are open to my teammates.

      • Also I usually try not to use it when reviving only one teammate. I have the upgrade that gives me a shield after a melee kill so if there are adds I'll just kill one real quick before I res

      • I use it in choke points. Door ways, small hallways, etc. Anywhere alot of damage is incoming. If your specced for it to give buffs when someone passes through it? High traffic locations. When reviving obviously. I don't find it hard to put it in spots that it will hinder my team defensively but it's way harder to find spots with won't hinder you offensively

I've actually found some spots on certain boss fights (the Nexus has a lot of good spots) where you can place it in a way that gives you a small V between the bubble and the cover that you can shoot past but the boss can't hit you. It's also useful for making cover in an open area. If you use Armor of Light you're nearly unkillable inside of it, so I will throw it down to draw powerful enemies in sometimes, then punch them to death. Don't do it to a boss though, it won't end well lol. And it does make a sphere. I found that out when I accidentally made on top of a small pillar on Venus one time.

          • I love the bubble. I use every time its up. and I have made a bubble on a radio tower and it is round. I use it for a number of reasons. -im built to make orbs for my team. bubble up and melee trash. go through your skills and you will find some orb making stuff. -I use it to rez as you pointed out. -I use it right in front of a boss. remember the bubble has 2 walls and you don't want to melee a boss so use both walls and jump over the bubble rinse repeat. -side strife in and out of the bubble it works way better than forward and backward. -its a wonderful kitting tool so your team can focus on the boss. -I dump it right in the thick of things, right in the middle so everyone can use it. -best advise I can give is use it every time you can and you will find more uses for it. -I use it where there is no cover.
