Crucible Rewards...

In my opinion the rewards in crucible are kinda bs. I backpack my team everygame with the most points and usually over a 2.0kd and in the meantime my bottom feeder teammates got back to back exotics for dropping a 0.17kd? I've played over 150 crucible matches and have probably got the best around medal in 130 of them and have nothing to show for it except a shitty legendary engram that turned into an uncommon pair of gloves. Seeing that the rewards are completely random I'd be better off going afk everygame rather than putting in effort to carry my team. They should set it up so that getting top 3 or 1st etc gets you a better chance at getting an item vs someone at the bottom of the team. That way they would still get rewards but then top players get a bit of a bonus as well rather than doing all the work in the game for no reason.

  • so i went 30/0 in skirmish carried my team and what do i get... nothing bottom guy gets legendary well the enemy team gets hawkmoon and patience and time so bungie WTF

  • While I agree that the randomness is dumb. I do believe that if they gave the best player in each match the best gear, it would cause an out scaling system that would kill the game. I think they should make the kills in the crucible do random drops like when you go on strikes or farming the cave. People that get more kills earn more imo.

  • Can't agree more, hate how I can go top of the list in back to back crucible matches and get jack while the guys at the very bottom get the legendary or exotic gear.

  • I put a poll up on this but its not getting much traction. Here's my idea. The top 2 players on each team are given a [b]consumable[/b] XP Bonus for a specific item slot. This would give say 20% (May be too much) of a bounties XP value toward one specific item slot. Boots, Chest, Heavy Weapon, etc.Then keep actual gear drops totally random as they are now. This give people an equal chance to obtain new gear while still rewarding top players for their consistency and helps them level up their gear since exotics and legendaries can take quite a long time to level. Also, by making it a consumable people with lesser gear can save it for when they upgrade to something better and since it only effects one equipped item instead of all equipped items it still adds a bit of a random nature to it without being massively op. Thoughts?

  • That there is the reason that I don't play their gay assed crucible.The reward system there is broke as -blam!- and makes me wanna get rid of the game.
