We need to tell bungie, that this raid is pretty much impossible to play unless you have 5 or 6 people. And most people do not have 6 friends that play at a certain time. So they need to make the raid where you can search for people to play with. Because I know there are plenty out there that are having this issue.

1 ReplyEdited by Exillix3: 9/20/2014 9:44:57 PMI agree with making it a sort of matchmaking playlist, but if Bungie intended to make it this way. I think they want people to form clans and work with clan mates to get far in this game. I do however, think they should put voice chat I. Public spaces so you can team up with random guardians in the tower. That way you can ask people to raid with you, and in turn, add them to your clan. That would make matchmaking raids irrelevant in my opinion.. One of the two would be nice..

1 ReplyIt's not hard to get friends. To run it. And trust me you DO NOT want to try this with a pug.

4 RepliesEdited by PappaCube: 9/19/2014 8:10:24 PMi dont see the issue with allowing a random team in. if its so hard they think we need 6 friends to play it then they need to rethink the darn thing. I doubt most of their players will be able to get 6 friends to do this when they dont provide the means for us to meet 6 friends that play the game. and no, random fireteam invites at the tower is awkward, I don't do awkward.

Absolutely not. You have clearly not played the Raid... it REQUIRES coordination. Teamwork. You cannot do it with random people. It NEEDS planning.
-
No there are places you can find players on your system, level, and with mics. I do not want random people with no mics and no coordination. VoG needs so much communication and coordination that even a couple of people with no mic will ruin it. destinylfg.net and /r/fireteams is a great place to go.

4 RepliesJust did it this morning took forever but I got it done, make sure you're 2+ ranks above the mission or its like playing Russian roulette with all but 1 chambers loaded

3 RepliesJoin a clan then, I have way more than six peeps in my friends list that are playing at the same time.

2 Repliesi just unlocked the raid, too bad i will NEVER be able to play it. only have two friends who play destiny, im not part of a hardcore clan. the raid looks fun but i can never experience it. might as well remove it from my games list

1 ReplyMatchmaking with FORCED communication link (working mic required) and problem solved. Agreed.
-
1 ReplyI agree and disagree with this. I agree because it would make it easier to actually play it for people like me who are new to the psn world and don't have many friends on it, but I disagree because people are idiots and getting teamed with them is incredibly annoying and I seem to always get teamed with them T^T

After beating the raid myself, there is completely no way this will happen. It would be impossible. I found 4 randoms on the tower and made a team. Just do that.
-
2 RepliesIf they could extend the save status of a raid that'd be awesome too. I'm a father of three, work full time, student, and a writer. I maybe get to play five hours in a week. No way I could commit to an eleven hour marathon. And I only have one friend who plays, who is in the same boat as me. He's on maybe three hours in a month. I feel like we're being overlooked. It seems like Bungie is catering to the "hardcore gamers".

2 RepliesThis raid is pretty much impossible to play with 5 other randoms, who will undoubtedly be level25 and with no mic.
-
It took a team of six coordinating and talking 11 hours to complete. Have you ever been in a FPS game where 6 random players never changed over for more than two hours? It will never happen. Even if you found 5 others with voice activated it would take you minimum hour to really learn to work as a team and only if all of u are committed. There is always 1 who is just looking to unlock something or trying for a specific achievement. And best case everyone works together, 3 hours in someone has to go to bed, or work, or school, etc... then you have to get a new random who has not learned your dinamic and you start over with the team work. You will never finish. The Raid is there specifically for the hard corps WoW type who wants to do it and is committed to hours of monotonous game play to win. You wont find that in randoms.

Bungie already addressed this way before the game released...
-
1 Replyif you have to play with the same exact 6 players for the entire 17 hours this is rediculous and I now have no desire to play the raids.
-
They'll have to nerf the raid before implementing matchmaking. Even if you find people manually, it's a very difficult (possibly slightly overtuned) instance and I can't even imagine trying to run with randoms.

And u need to play with the same people u start with

Make more fwiends :3 It would need to be lobby style rather than matchmaker style, otherwise the matchmaking would be full of lvl 22s and such trying to get carried for raid loot
-
Searching for people play with = yes. Something like that is definitely needed. Automatically thrown together with them matchmaking style = no.

Good idea
