Wait a moment, lets go back, WAY back when we were still normally living. At the start of Destiny we are revived from the dead by the Light of The Traveler. But how exactly did we die? Lets take a look at our surroundings. We are at the wall at the Cosmodrome in Russia, surrounded by a large group of cars. My theory is we died during the collapse, trying to escape away from Earth and possibly our Solar System entirely, but from who? The story of Destiny still has many tales left unspoken.

"Systems online. Goodday sir who would you like me to kill" The exo chimed as it turned on, looking toward the wealthy noble who owned her. "All of them" the man said in a paniced voice : They want on the ships we can take off with them so close!" HE declared. A look of panic was all his face held, he was too afraid to kill them by himself when the ship took off. "All of who?" She inquired. The blue colored exo asked looking at him as she retrived her weapon from her storage pod, loading it and drawing back the bolt,. The aduible clich made the man jump. "Everyone and everything?" "Everyone around my ship!" He pointed at the acadia class ship sitting in dock 13. Pointing toward the people blocking his exit. "Everything is gones to hell and no one is following commands like they should. Kill everyone indisciminatly. You hear me everyone!" The flustered man demanded. "Now" The exo grinned "Comfirmed, killing the meatbags" SHe would shoot him first, as per his orders, she switched to the few guards. Catching them by surpise, the main threats where eliminated in a few short seconds, she opened fire on the rest as they started to run away. She walked , moving slowing through the complex, murdering all who got in her way. She tracked the people who was instructed to kill simplely. A rocket raced past her, blowing a hole in the wall. She dived into the hole for cover and toock off down the tunnel, with people in pursut, she raced and weaved deeper through the wall. Before long she was cornered, trapped on a open ledge. "Set the rifle down" A man ordered her. She complied shtting it against a blue box "OUT here, hands up robot" She stepped into the opens drawing an arc blade "WEAP.." The man dinted have time t o cry out as she rammed the blade into him . The started to fire apon her as she raced forwards starts to hak and slash aat all of them, making quick work of the the group of men, one however closed a security gate, blocking her from her rifle. She had one way to go, she took off running fleeing the wall. HEr systems where damaged, she moved past the abandoned cars, before collapsing and shutting down.

I heard gunshots coming from outside the city walls. They were soon drowned out by horrified screams, and in less then a minute an eery silence. My heart was pounding as I held my mother's rifle close to my chest. As I lied there hidden inside the walls of the cosmodrome I knew I was a coward. A brave soldier like my mom would have been out there protecting the others, but I was not brave. All I knew is that I had to survive. I had to find out why my father had left. I had to know what about cryptology was so important that he would leave us all alone. So I waited. Hours past as I sat all alone in fear. It had been silent ever since the screaming stopped, but I had to be sure. I tried my best to stay awake, but it got more and more difficult until, exhausted, I fell asleep. In my dream I saw my father in fancy robes. He turned to me and said, "This isn't legendary. It is just uncommon." I awoke with a start and almost bumped my head on a sharp piece of metal. For a minute I forgot about the darkness and all the massacres. Then it came flooding back to me, and I knew that I had to act fast. I climbed out of my hiding spot, and snuck through the small hole in the wall. Outside it took all of my willpower to resist throwing up. The scene before me was absolutely horrific. It looked like the entire Cosmodrome had been shot and eviscerated. The stench was enough, but when I saw some of my friends and neighbors I lost it. As I wiped my former stomach contents from my lips I forced myself to push on. "They're dead," I told myself. "They don't need it any more. I found a few space pieces of armor here and there. Every few I would have to empty out an arm or guts, but it was better than dying. As I had armored myself I looked for food among them. There was a lot left, after all the darkness did not need their food. But I was too focused on finding food. I did not notice the ominous black cloud speeding towards me. Only when I felt the wind change did I look back in time to see the blackness envelop me. I let out a scream, but it was quickly absorbed in the shadows. It was pitch black, and I knew I had to get out. I had to survive. No matter what. So I held my rifle and started firing. It was weird, because I could feel the recoil, but I could not see the muzzle flash or hear the bullets firing. Then I felt a slight sting in my back. It was followed by the most intense pain I have ever felt in my life. Soon I felt the tiny stings all over my body. As the pain increased over and over again I dropped my rifle, and felt the pain start to dull as I died. Later, I don't know how much later, I felt life flow back into my body. A small and low tech AI drone seemed to have brought me back. It tried to say something to me, but I did not care. I looked up at it and asked, "Where is my father?"

I'm more interested in why we were driving current generation automobiles during a "Golden Age." To me nothing is funnier than finding the rusted out cars in the middle of Venus like we were driving Ford and Chevy years in the future when we can colonize half the solar system, lol.
