WTF is the Cryptarch's problem?
The cryptarch is Pure Evil.
After HOURS of grinding I finally get a Primary Weapon Legendary Enegram and do you know what that asshole gave me?
A -blam!-ING PULSAR MSm!!! THE WORST GUN N THE WHOLE -blam!-ING GAME

I think drop rates and decodes rates are pretty good. I had planed to play this game for more than a week so i am glad that I don't have a full set of exotic gear and weapon after just a week of playing. Also its not that difficult to get all legendary gear if you want; if you had enough strange coins and bought one piece from Xur and are level 2 with any of the factions there has been enough points now to have a full set of legendary/Exotic armor bought from vendors with enough vanguard points leftover for a weapon when you get there.

Still a very small sample, I'll keep updating til ~1000 rare. Cryptarch rank doesn't seem to influence appraisal rate at all, but its nice to get 2-3 rare/legendary from post box each rank up still.

My Cryptarch is level 16, and he still can"t read legendary engramms properly. Seriousky, they give the Cryptarch Degree to anyboby nowadays...

For real. I'm about to leave this damn game bc your level after lvl 20 comes down to pure luck which is bullshit. I've even tried farming for hours to get a legendary engram an once I did it was a class engram and on top of that it decrypted to a blue one I already -blam!-ing had.

3 Repliesfinally got a legendary from an engram! But they are for a Hunter...and im a Titan. You know, i dont mind the no trading and no auction house thing, but getting legendary items for another class is idiotic. If i want to farm for another character, let me decrypt them with THAT character.

9 times out of 10 a decoherent engram turns into an uncommon weapon or piece of armor. Even if it does make a rare item it usually sucks anyway.

When i turned in a purple, i got the THUNDERLORD. When i turned in a blue, i got THE COMEDIAN. Check my inventory.

Here is how much of a troll he is... I got a whole bunch of blues and legendaries... Got greens and blues from him. But then the Postmaster said the Cryptarch has something for me... I open it and Ooooh... A new pair of Legendaries.... opened them and GOT FRICKIN GREENS. If the Cryptarch made mottos his would be... "If life gives you lemons, make..." [spoiler][b]CRAPPY WEAPONS[/b][/spoiler] ...or should that lemons be replaced by "Legendaries" lol.

I have had 4 legendary enneagrams and 0 of them gave me a legendary anything. Now I am forced to wait till Friday to get good stuff and also buy stuff from dead orbit.

2 RepliesHe's taking our gear and giving us crap, then goes to xur and gives him all the good stuff. Xur then fleeces us on Friday and Saturday.

I've had bad luck up until I hit level 20 with my engrams. I got a legendary heavy engram and it turned into the Zombie Apocalypse WF47.

4 RepliesWell, in accordance with the lore covering up the RNG.... The cryptarch just decodes whatever the hell you have, he doesn't create it out of the engram. Think of someone who opens your lunch bag for you because ziplocks and brown paper are devil spawn: he isn't making your sandwich or juice box, just helping you reclaim it from a container. You'd look like an idget blaming him for you getting mustard on your wouldbe pb&j when he had nothing to do with that.

5 RepliesI love how angry people get at the cryptarch, just go buy some gear it isnt that hard to hit rank 2 in vanguard or crucible if you actually try to get it. Or buy things with strange coins. To me the cryptarch is kind of like a lottery, its fun to play but if you expect to get something good you will be disapointed.
