I think the major thing to worry about here is the lack of communication. If we had proximity voice, then sure. Match making would be great for this game, I certainly don't have six friends who play Destiny. Let alone six friends who got to 25-26. I would love match making. However, I do match making in strikes and the people doing it are terrible. They would be good if they knew some tips, but I can't tell them any thing because of the lack of voice. Another thing to worry about is the way these raids are set up. It saves to your Fireteam leader so you and your buddies can do it whenever you want within one week. It would take hours to do the raid in one sitting, hours that the people who "need" match making for time concerns wouldn't have. I think the issue is just laziness. It really is simple using your clan's forum, the Destiny fan-made LFG site, or even Reddit to find a group and get a time together. Do I want to do those things? Not really. I'd much rather push a button and get the content done with no social interaction. But where's the sense of satisfaction in that? Honestly, this is my biggest gripe with games like WoW. Push a button, and it's done. Here's your gear you got with no effort. Why do I use it, then? Because it's easy, and it's what the game requires of me. So what that only "elite" people get it? I don't have any of this gear because I haven't worked for it. It's the way life works. You have to work for stuff you want. If you want this raid's gear... go work for it. I understand people are busy, but an hour here and there isn't ridiculous to ask of someone.

Think that over man, 5 other strangers? You wont be able to all plan when you're going on again and you wont be finishing it in one sitting.

Man. I hate how you can't do matchmaking on heroic missions now even raid doesn't have it. Smh. It's hard enough to look for a fireteam since you can't talk to the players that are in the tower (you can't right?)

They're trying way too hard to make things hardcore, but their definition of hardcore is just to add irritation for the average player. All systems should use matchmaking and communication should exist and be easy [i]in game[/i]. Destiny fails to provide the most basal necessities conducive to multiplayer gaming. Bungie's seemingly myopic view on what these necessities are is going to whittle away at the population who will not go to forums to create fireteams (and nor should they be required to). What an archaic and clunky design they have vomited out here in terms of communicating with fellow players and enjoying what could be a pleasant online multiplayer experience.

Agreed. This game will have a short life without it. If WoW can do it, Destiny can have matchingmaking. 30 man raids are possible with randoms in WoW, I am sure a 6 man raid is possible in Destiny.

People arguing that the OP -and others- should make some friends need to STFU AND GTFO and here's why: * I know that you basement dwelling window lickers like to think that some random -blam!-er you met online and added to your friendslist is your friend but they're really not, they're just random people , with a good chance of not giving two -blam!-s about you. *Not having matchmaking is manageable in MMO's, where most of those "get friends"- people probably are coming from, for the simple reason that there is text based chat. The only thing lack of matchmaking does is making things more inconvenient for everyone. The vast majority of people who have actually been in the Vault already probably just sent other random people online invites, God knowns that I've been spammed today, or got some pugs here on the site. No different than what matchmaking could do for us. You're ultimately still playing with strangers. Noteworthy: Unlike in some MMO matchmaking systems there's actually a gear check in this game. That gear check is that level you have to be to queue up.

This is just one more bad decision in a long list of bad decisions Bungie have done. The king of MMORPG that is World of Warcraft has a raid finder. People learn as they play and if people use a headset with a microphone it should be even more achievable. People that want to ensure that everyone has a headset with microphone and that players are informed about tactics etc can make a pre-made raid group. So Bungie, please stop with all the bad game designs and wake up!!

A big thing is mic use? I've jumped into strikes with MM and not once have I ran into other players with a mic, good luck clearing a raid without communication.

No. No. And more no. Bungie has always promoted team play and communication. Go do some research on their raids and how much communication is needed. Sorry but no again. MM would kill raids

Dude, you and all the others whiners about matchmaking need to man up. This game is designed to be social and co-op. Make some friends in game, because I'm so happy there isn't randoms for such a difficult challenge. Read half the retarded crap on here and realize people aren't nice and going to be jerks half the time. When you run strikes people are always quitting out. I don't care if you already played that level or don't like it. I got stuck doing the same strike 5 times in a row, it's called grinding for a reason... They will come out with more strikes, and I'm sorry your unhappy they didn't make the game so every aspect satisfies you, but they're trying to cater to everyone, not just you....
