Fastest way to gain rep for factions?

I'd say to pvp till you reach the weekly limit on crucible marks, 'cause you'll need about three weeks worth to fully outfit you in legendary. Pick up first the bounties you know you can beat fast, than others you know you'll get with time. Do the weekly and daily event, then do the patrols on earth 'cause the enemy are easiest and you get the same amount of points on any planet anyway. Speed through the patrols, don't worry about kill all enemies (unless that's what the patrol calls for) just run past them and finish the patrol as quick as possible. You can up a rank about once a day like this if you go hard.

Edited by Shadow15151: 9/16/2014 4:34:29 AMwhile wearing the faction class item complete: -bounties -patrol missions -ANY strike mission, including weekly and vanguard strikes -public events -selling stacks of 50 materials such as spin metal -crucible matches, with a bonus for winning i found the best ways to actually grind it to doing bounties, then doing rumble in pvp as the matches go faster

Fastest way? There's only one way: complete bounties while wearing your class' specific item that you bought from the vendor you're trying to gain rep with.

Bounties, Patrol missions, Weekly Heroic Strike, Vanguard Strikes (the wolf, tiger ones. though I don't recommend farming these because the amount of rep you gain really isn't worth the amount of time required to complete each strike. doing Patrol missions gains you rep much faster).
