Pre-warning, potential wall of text and update text inbound.
So in recent days, I have seen Destiny compared to a vast amount of very popular MMO(RPG),FPS, and Crossover FPS MMO games. These games include COD,BF,Borderlands, and WoW. The general vibe I'm getting, even trough all of the complaints of there being no story, repetitive gameplay, broken PvP and loot drops, is that it fails to recreate the best parts of both an true FPS(COD) and an MMO(RPG)(WoW), because it tries to be in-between both genres while also being a spacey shooter that fails to emulate the uniqueness of a highly acclaimed title such as Borderlands.
I have two arguments to argue for tonight, so here we go:
1) This is Bungie's first try. there's no guarantee that a company's first try at a genre is going to be spectacular, like borderlands. Bungie's got a 10 year publishing contract, so even if
This one fails, I'll bet you there's going to be new and improved Destiny 2.0 that solves a crapload of problems a first release can't.
2) You just wait. Although doubtful, DLC might solve some of the problems facing 2 week old destiny.
Tomorrow I will continue on the specific problems of destiny, most of which I can't justify, and can only hope are fixed In future titles.
All Hail Dinklebot.
