Ridiculous strike/raid boss HP, not enough loot

Bungie, I love Destiny, I really do, but every strike, or raid that I've played, the bosses have far too much HP. The Devil Walker alone is just long, tedious, and annoying with a group of level 10's. The bosses are one thing, but the lack of loot that drops, especially for that much time, and effort per raid, is pitiful. I know I'm not the only one who feels like this, so please Bungie, please-- lower the [i]freaking[/i] bosses HP, and increase the amount of loot dropped per raid.

    Why are people bitching about this? I'm sick of hearing whiny little bitches crying about bosses being "bullet sponges". They're supposed to be, they're a -blam!-ing boss for chrissakes. If they had less health, you people would be in here bitching about them being too easy. Haven't you people ever played a proper RPG before? Stick to rail shooters, friggin babies.

      • I think loot should e grinded for not given out. It group also be performance based. The better you do, the higher chance for better loot. I agree the hp of bosses have too much hp. That seems to be it when you increase difficulty. I'd take less hp, more abilities they use to attack, and less random loot and more performance loot

        • Agreed bosses need less hp, and more interesting mechanics. Right now they are just bullet sponges with extremely high damage that take a long time. It's kind of fun in a way. But more interesting mechanics would be nice. End boss should always drop blue engram or higher as well. This isn't about wanting the game to be easier its about wanting the game to be more interesting.

          • I'm posting again mainly because i posted about drop before... DON'T lower the bosses HP, this is exactly what the beta players did NOT want to happen when this game got released. Make it different difficulty if you must (and thereby having one with same HP but lower defence or lower defence and same HP), but don't lower it for everyone. I for one have fun on strikes and the continuous waves of monsters plus the high HP make it a fun game. I don't want to spend 10 minutes and go "that's cool...." i want it to take over half an hour when i'm less than level 9 on the first strike. It's more fun for me and i would guess over players that way. If anything make difficulties...which brings me to my next point... Don't make difficulties static, make them scaled to your level...-blam!- i want to try impossible but by the time i get there it gets lowered to hard...lame...

            • I dont think they should be easier. I think they should be shorter, harder and more varied. Pouring bullets into a large slow moving target for 10 minutes gets tedious. Spending 5 mins trying to outwit a sneaky, strategic opponent to score the 5 shots needed to kill it would be epic and provide better flow. Imagine your joy and lining up a perfect rocket shot against a fast moving, cover loving, mother. Would be so much more satisfying than shooting a rocket at the prime, which provides nothing but a small hope the fight will end. It doesnt make me feel clever or powerful. I didnt play well. I just got some purple ammo and did the thing you do when you get purple ammo.

              • If they dont increase the drops of engrams which i think they should do for certain bosses, Atleast give us vanguard points for killing a boss with a skull by the name, To run a strike get 3-4 engrams possibly wont even be a blue is kinda bs, Or at the least increase the green engram dront cause it isnt rewarding to do them

                • The strikes are also designed to be able to challenge higher levels in the strike playlist. Sometimes strategies are just whittle down the boss. Thats what i did in the nightfall strike and it took awhile but the stakes were high for surviving

                  No. The point of the bosses is to be hard, in no way shape or form should they lower the health of any boss in the game nor should they guarantee any big loot for just one boss, this isn't just your typical fps shooter douchebag this is a mmo rpg fps crossbread, its gonna have hard bosses, deal with it. Its not gonna change because you cant find the correct tactics. If you dont like strikes or the boss battles or anything like that, dont play. Now the loot mechanic shouldnt guarantee anything, but it can have a lot higher chances to make it worth it more often. But not all the time. That leads to easy farming, which should never be in a game like this.

                    I would like to see the final boss in a strike to drop a couple engrams or materials... Like the last boss in lv24 playlist drops 3 items. ----drop rates---- 75% for blues, 15% motes, 6% more/coin/ascendant material, 3.5%purple, 0.5%exotic Other lower level would have higher chances at blues and the other drops would become way less

                  • I am only disappointed in the fact that the Boss doesn't drop anything usually. Although i'm basing this on the Devil Walker and Sepiks, but sepiks gives hardly anything, and devil walker gives nothing...i've never gotten anything from the beta nor now. I mean i get shit tones usually because i'm crushing all the enemies and then after that's done i go after the bosses and the enemies usually drop shit...but i just feel disappointed when i don't get anything from killing the boss (granted the ending you get stuff but still...)

                    • I personally find the strike system fine, I'll get 2-3 rare engrams per strike and usually a better heavy or special weapon, engrams drop could be increased but that's it

                    • Devil waller takes me lile 5 minutes. And all bosses have easy weakspots. Whem I run vanguard strikes it literally takes me loke 20 minutes or so to beat it lol

                    • As far as loot drops go i think high level enemies should drop more often with a marginal increase in rarity. Oh allow high lvl playees to get encrpyted greens still. Now bosses i dont think their hp or dps need changing, i think Phogoths weakpoint needs tweaking cause i sometimes appear to miss it even when im aiming right at it. But all boss fights should have a mechanic to do extreme damage and/or weakening to damage. For example activate the colony ships engines and roast Sepiks but with the added danger of getting roasted yourself. Or lure Phogoth under a weakened stalagmite and shoot it to bring itmdown upon him. Just an idea.

                    • Yeah, aside from the guaranteed strange coins for the weekly heroic, it seems you're better off just farming low level enemies than bothering with one of the strikes. I've spent more time in strikes than I have farming enemies and all I have to show are rares. In less time, I got 2 exotics and three legendaries from farming.

                        I don't know about lower the hp, because that sort of just sounds like, "make it easier". Maybe just make the loot more worthwhile at the end, receive more drops, or something along the lines of that. Just something to make it more rewarding. I don't want it to be easier, just want it to be worthwhile.

                        • I don't even bother with strikes anymore, I can farm for an hour and get 10+ blues or do one strike and hope to get a single one for 45 minuets of work that's not even guaranteed.

                            • Honestly it's perfect, in my opinion they should add phases to bosses. But the hp is fine. I haven't even done very hard strikes yet but I'm happy

                              • I don't think the bosses should be easier, but I agree that it seems dumb that after spending all that time trying to kill them they drop either nothing or just something like house banners or ether seeds. Then you can turn around, one-shot a dreg and get a rare item drop. Seems odd, not to mention that it makes me feel completely unexcited when I kill a boss.

                              • This is how loot driven games work. And these strikes should take an average group 15 to 30 minutes to complete ( if you're at the same level as the strike). So you play through them a few times a day hoping to get lucky with rng, while earning marks and rep through various other activities. Repeat this daily and before you know it, you'll have enough to [i]buy[/i] a legendary, if one hasn't dropped for you yet. If every one got gear they needed every time they went through a 20 minute strike, your game would be over until the next new content. So dont be discouraged, you're doing it right. You just need more patients. And don't worry about what gear others have. There's always that group of gamers that use exploits or just play non stop, and you'll never catch up to them. Wow. Sorry for wall of text
