I've seen many threads about how DeeJ is a walking bowl of stale semen, but why so much hate?

Edited by Deleted User: 9/14/2014 5:39:20 AMYou know what? Maybe I was wrong. Clearly it isn't Deej making all of these large decisions. He is just following orders, or get lost. He is probably concerned about job security in a small market of jobs. I just miss the social interaction we had with Bungie as a whole. They are so mainstream they forgot who got them there, us fans. It's really disappointing to think the developer who got you into xbl is turning into something it never was. I've worked for companies like that and when you have a family morales sometimes have to hit the back burner while you try your best to make your family happy, no matter who you burn along the way. I just hope for his sake he finds something better where he can be free to interact with the community like Bungie did with us. Treating your community like people in jail (taking away extras ie titles, game nights etc) just makes us spiteful. Sometimes you have to look at the totality of the situation is this an isolated Bungie issue? Or have there been some massive changes in this company we call home.

He's not Frankie or sketch
-
He does more PR than Community Management.
-
4 RepliesBecause he doesn't do his job. He's repeatedly ignored complaints about moderation issues, which is his responsibility since he's the community manager. He even muted a person (I believe it was MyNameIsCharlie) who PM'd him about being harassed. A person threatened his family, and DeeJ just ignored it.
-
Horrible "community manager" and I wouldn't even give him that title, he only interacts with people at #Destiny. He ignores complaints about the site or it's moderation, in some cases he just mute's or bans whoever might be sending some complaints his way. Back on the old website, he interacted with everyone and was doing great as the community manager. Then Destiny happened and he turned into a walking advert for Bungie's game.
-
Because he doesn't do his job, and actively ignores the real problems this site has, while simultaneously jerking Destiny's dick.
-
Because its cool and mainstream

DeeJ is cool in my book. How can the man moderate these forums when 5 million people buy his company's game in a day? Many of those people do not speak English and have no clue what #Gaming or #Clan means. One time, a Desticle was POed that some no-name YouTuber hated on Destiny, and was calling for other Desticles to comment bomb the YouTube channel. DeeJ put the kibosh on that and told the guy he would be banned if he continues trying to use these forums to organize such activities. DeeJ could not have represented Bungie better in that situation. I am on these forums because I like these forums. I hate Destiny. But if there is a Bungie employee for whom I wish I could have liked Destiny, it would be DeeJ.

He doesnt do his goddam mofoing job
-
He's pretty cool but he sucks at his job
-
Well, he seems like an ok guy in person
-
1 ReplyEdited by Zonda: 9/14/2014 5:52:46 AMHe pretends to be involved with the greater community whilst mainly protecting the desticles' interests. The thread by Frank Woods that was moved from #Gaming to #Community which was complaining about destiny posts flooding the wrong forums really sums up how much of a shitstain he is.

22 RepliesEver heard of the "Charlie Incident"?

8 RepliesAside from being the king of all Desticles... He's a terrible CM, also the Charlie incident
smh... What a shit CM
-
He acts like he gives a shit about the community, but it's fairly obvious he doesn't. He's always quick to defend the desticles even when they're CLEARLY in the wrong.

AAAAAAAAA - old
He's a good guy and outside the forums a decent CM, but on the forums he's just not. Ask others. Some people have personal experience. Like he's not a bad person on the forums or anything, many people just believe he either doesn't get the job done or he doesn't do it at all. Just don't hate on him, unless you have a solid/personal reason to do so. -
Edited by XSpartenIteriumX: 9/13/2014 10:33:28 PMMy guess; Because people love hating on (what they think) "the man" is for Bungie. Everyone blames him for some reason. That and because he's strict on Bungie policies and defends his company all the time, so he's automatically targeted as a douche bag to people who don't get it.
It reminds me of a high school teacher i used to have. She'd get called a bitch constantly, even by my best friends, but was honestly the nicest person. I just didn't get it. The only reason my friends think she's "just ok" is because she danced with our group at prom (how can you hate a teacher like that?).
1 ReplyI don't hate him. I'm just very disappointed in his definition of the term "community manager".
-
I don't even know who he is.
-
He isn't a bad person, but different people have different ideas of what his job is.
-
Some people believe he is not doing his job. I don't have an issue with him.
