GDD - Game Design and Development
What I'm learning about is so interesting. Basically, a large portion of game companies break the basic rules of making a good game, which brings me to Halo 4 and 343i...
They did things very, very wrong. This textbook I'm reading explicitly states:
DO NOT MAKE A GAME THAT FOLLOW THE MARKET TREND; IT WILL NOT BE SUCCESSFUL
A bunch of other small stuff, but the good news is that the newer Halo games are following what I've read very well.

I think Halo 4 as a non-Halo Halo. Campaign's fine. As of multiplayer, the Ordnance Drops resemble the Scorestreaks of CoD, as u can choose power weapons while u get more points. And the Custom Loadouts are like the CoD Loadout style, totally removes skill factor. With that said, I'm playing Halo: Reach now because of that.
