I sure hope that is the case.. I am also playing at my home and I am dealing with these error codes. fly, baboon, lion, beetle. I already did the the Port forward thing etc and I still experience this. Now I am stock with level 6 and kinda pissed because I cannot level right away and cannot play straight.
BUNGIE! Please We hope that you are reading this right now. T_T you should have expected this and you could have prepared for this issue beforehand.
I still have faith I just hope after this week the servers are better. I want to join in the crucible mathces and the events!

But, i have the above link of my post on the playstation forums with much more detailed information on the subject. Bungie has stated that they would work along side players that are having these issues, i strongly believe that i could be of great help to whomever is working on these problems. I have many hours invested into troubleshooting the problem ( i have been spending 5+ hours for the past couple days each and every day) trying to fix this problem. I am not one to let an error stump me so i will be working my best to resolve, or at least figure out, the origin to my problems alongside the problems of others. Anyone that has information as to what they believe is causing their network errors please let me know, every bit of information could be the key to figuring this out.
