Legendary Engrams = Useless Rares or Random Materials?
So after the 8th or 9th Legendary Engram turning out to be a useless rare or Acendant energy i'm starting to get a bit frusturated. Is this some type of bug or what? Is anyone else having this issue? It's a real kick in the nads watching others get legendary items from blue engrams while i'm not getting them even from the proper engram.
Update: I got my first legendary.......Hunter Gloves for my Titan.......WTF BUNGIE?!?!

Still never got a legendary engram, I got a legendary package from the post office, containing 3 rare engrams, all rare items or useless materials. Today however, finally, I got a legendary helmet from a rare engram. It's a sweet Titan helmet. Too bad it doesn't fit my Hunter. GOD DAMN IT.

Had three ingrams.. One was legendary and two was rare. Did the legendary first.. Got a green one.. Started to rage as i mashed my A button to redeem my two blues and got two purples ..

Yeah, I got a legendary Titan helmet for my hunter and it's been downhill from there.

Can people not read or what? On rare engrams it says you can get a legendary item for a random class. So its not surprising to get an item for one of the other 2 classes.

Out of my first 5 legendary engrams I got only 1 legendary, but I did get a legendary helmet off a blue engram.

I agree even exotics are easier to get ive got an exotic from the vendor and so far after 4 legendary engrams 0 legendarys

And this morning I got the Zombie Apocolypse Machine gun, thanks to a legendary engram that a level 2 Vandal dropped while I was farming a bounty in Russia. Just 2 light points off level 24 now and to bed fair i'm happy with whats dropped. after all, these are supposed to be legendary. It is very random that all my grinding on strikes has yielded nadda, and the 2 legendary items I had got have been for f all! But at least everyone is guaranteed legendarys if they grind and buy them. Just have fun playing the game and they will come in the end. It's only the first weekend after all ! Just played Diablo 3 recently and it seemed so cheap that I started the game with 2 ledgndary items. sure I want them but please, to start with them! Keep up the good work bungie. I've had 40 hours of fun so far. £1 and hour! cant grumble. immense game.

I haven't even gotten a legendary engram. All I get are green and rarely blues.

It's random dude what do you expect? The purple engrams just give you a better chance at getting legendaries and a small chance at exoctic. I got a legendary set of boots last night from a blue engram.

Got 2 blue at one time ended up giving me green boots and a legendary scout rifle I hate that it can give you something lower.. Cryptarch needs to get his act together man!

I had 2 legendary engrams and got useless rare and uncommon pieces if armor. But I had 2 blue engrams that gave me 2 legendary guns. One a machine gun and the other a assault rifle.

I've probably used 10 legendary engrams, and only two have given me legendaries. The Wizard 77 fusion rifle, and the Exodus vest for hunter.

They're evidentially nonexistent for my specific character. I spent most of my day trying to get better armor or weapons for my Warlock, doing Strike after Strike, went to Crucible a bit, and so on, and the best thing I found was maybe a chest piece only SLIGHTLY better than the one I had. I'm talking maybe 10 points better for defense, 2 extra light points, and the strength was swapped for discipline points. That's it. 11 -blam!-ING HOURS OF MY TIME JUST TO GET A CHEST PIECE THAT IM HAVING TROUBLE EVEN SHITTING IN, LET ALONE WEARING IT. And I'm not even going to get started on the black market vendor. He uses currency that is about as rare as trying to find diamonds 2 inches in diameter at the bottom of the Mariana Trench, and the only efficient way to obtain them is restricted to having party members only (weekly strike). No match making. I could always, ya know, do it myself, but that would only take up about 4 hours trying to do. -blam!- that. All I want is even just a simple legendary weapon of some kind, or even armor. It could be a pair of boots, I don't care. And then there's the Crucible. What a reward system that's got going on, huh? People going 34-7 per match, only getting an assault rifle that's worse than the one they have, but the person on the bottom of his team who's been AFK for most of the game gets the exotic Red Death pulse rifle. Do you see something wrong with that? I'm not too sure, but that's lookin a little shady. I don't have a problem with Motes of Light. There are a few ways to get those. But if you try and go for Strange Coins, you might as well go into the bathroom and -blam!- yourself because that's what the game is about to do to you. Hopefully my rant is over.
