Titan shoulder charge a One Hit KO nerf!

I really enjoy the PvP in Destiny, and everything was awesome in the lower levels, but now that everyone is getting their skill trees higher, a few abilities are becoming a bit overused and overpowered in their current state; namely the Titan's shoulder charge. There's no reason this ability should be a one-hit kill in PvP, especially with the buffs already to Titan's melee. No other class gets an ability (Besides the super buffs of course) that grants a OHKO in close quarters combat, and the fact it has a large instantaneous lunge makes it that much more OP. It would make more sense if the shoulder charge took the place of the melee ability of the Striker; but the fact that it's its own ability and it deals an instant kill makes it that much more imbalanced. There's been numerous times that a Titan has not even thought about using a weapon, and has instead charged forward and melee'd before I get the chance to hit them a few times with my weapon and melee myself. This completely counteracts any form of skill-based play if one player who chooses a particular class can just sprint forward and get a guaranteed melee kill with a massive lunge, whereas another who chooses a different class cannot. Even with an Arc Blade active, the Titan will still trade kills with the Hunter in a melee battle, and that's quite unbalances seeing as one is a super and one is just a skill tree ability with infinite recharge, as long as you sprint beforehand. I suggest decreasing the damage so that the one hit kill is no longer possible off a skill-tree based ability, as these should only be possible with a super ability. Possibly even changing this as a replacement for the Storm Fist if the player chooses it could also even out the CQB fights in the Crucible. EDIT: For everyone commenting who seems to be a Titan and doesn't want their one-hit kill ability nerfed, I'm not trying to JUST make your class weaker, I'm trying to bring to the attention of staff that [u]ONLY[/u] one class gets an ability for something like this; so either nerfing it to make everyone equal in CQB, or buffing the Warlock and Hunter for a respective OHK skill should create parity between the classes. At the moment, each class is equal at every range except for the Titan at close range. Therefore, it's imbalanced.

  • In most cases you can kill the Titan before he gets to you. Im aTitan and have this abillity active alot for PvP. And trust its not as good as your making it sound

  • Please stop with this crap! How come every time someone dies im pvp by some ability they cry? Idc about pvp, but when I do play it, I die all the time by one ability or another and it doesn't mean I cry about it. Lets just petition Bungie to make YOU OP at everything so YOU will be happy. But even then I'm sure you would die once and want something else changed. Make another character and enjoy using different abilities. I wish Bungie never changed anything, so all these people complaining didn't think they had any power by whining.

      I've been shutdown many a time whilst about to use SC. If you see a Titan running like hell towards you, it ain't for a cuddle.

    • The titan has by far the worst grenades. I'd have the shoulder charge nerf'd for a grenade that will kill not just hurt. (Excluding defender class because they can't shoulder charge anyways...even though just one of there grenades will kill but only if you stick a player)

      • The point of being a titan is so you can win the melee battles. The titans are slower than the hunter and warlock. Besides the radar is always on you should assume a titan is running towards you. It is not my fault you think you can survive getting hit by a shoulder charge.

        • Yes nerf the shoulder charge. While we are at it let's nerf hunters invisibility. Make it so when they turn invisible a giant red arrow is right over their head pointing at them.

                Total disagree dude, you ever try using a shoulder charge??????????????? It takes skill. Also hunters are not op, use your super to stop their super, that easy! Plus you can hear them coming from a mile away. Also it's only right the "Titan" has a one hit melee! He's an F'n TITAN!!! Why would a warlock or a nimble Hunter have the strength to one hit?!? Adapt mofo, just adapt

                • Also it takes about three seconds to charge to do that melee, if your so garbage you can't swap to a shotgun our hit him with a couple out rifle headshots then that's on you, stop trying to ruin the game more than it already is.

Swap the accessibility of the Juggernaught ability and the shoulder charge ability. Juggernaught - You must sprint to activate the shield, and you must always be on the ground. Shoulder Charge - You must sprint to activate, and are able to use it in mid-air in any direction. Don't gimp the identity, gimp the accessibility. Thats the only reason Blade dancer is so OP.

                    • No. Just side step it. It's not a lock on it just goes straight ahead. So it's dodgeable. Plus. Hunters have one hit grenades as well as warlocks. Every class doesn't have to be equal at every range. That's not the point. Hunters dominate long range. Warlocks dominate medium range. Titans dominate close range. You need to figure out that if there's a titan in your game and you're not a titan, you're probably going to lose most cqc exchanges. So stay at the range where you can take advantage of your class type or exploit the weakness of anothers class type. As a gamer you're supposed to adapt your playstyle to whatever you encounter, not ask that the game be adapted to how you play. Nobody asks for PVE monsters to be nerfed when they get destroyed by them, they change up their gameplay until they figure out something that works. Do the same in the crucible.

                        • Plenty of things are capable of one hit: throwing knife headshot, sniper headshot, shotguns, fusion rifles, launchers, most grenades (hunter nades are great for this), most other melee abilities are virtually one hit moves. You want all those merging as well?

                            • Titans are meant to have strength on their side. They're big and slow and wear heavy armor. Hunters have invisibility agility and teleportation. Warlocks special and melee make up its unique abilities. All of these classes are balanced in a different way so it's not the same exact character with a retexture. That is why the titan kicks your ass in CQC.

                            • Sunsingers melee will DoT kill you for a one hit kill... Blade Dancer blink strike from behind will one hit kill... what a surprise, one subclass for each class have a melee that is one hit kill that will activate at range... and what a surprise, a grenade or shotgun will kill all of them... Just saying
