Here is an official response from Bungie http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/69073682/0/0 they are asking for help from
Universities on figuring out how to fix this. Also, you can scroll through this thread and find people saying they have been contacted. People have narrowed the problem down to College internet servers thinking Destinys traffic is a Torrent. They aren't just cutting us out because they feel like it.

it's not just colleges that are having the problems, it's all over the place. I am having the same problems at home and I'm pretty sure it's not because a college internet server thinks my traffic is a torrent.

so this morning when I played they had it fixed comepletely and it let me into every aspect of the game with absolutely no errors, and then they broke it again a few hours later? why would they do that? what would they gain from that? the insulting Centipede help page is a joke. everyone has tried that and it's still not working and they have said nothing else about it, that was yesterday! Why can't they just at least say " we are close to a fix" or "we are not sure how long it will be" or at the very least admit that the problem is on their end and not ours. My point from earlier was they don't care about customer service because they have no customer service. No phone number to call, no one to email. they just don't give a crap about their customers problems with their faulty game. they give us this forum where we can express our aggrevation and they can ignore it and not respond to any of it. Even activision has a customer service department and you can talk to a real person about the problems your having with one of their games at anytime day or night.
