So I called my IT Department here at WKU and apparently what the problem is that the firmware that's installed in the devices and computers and servers across the campus to block Point 2 Point connection and stop students from using Torrent (which is already bullsh-I mean no I don't Torrent at all!) is apparently blocking us from playing because the Destiny server connection uses P2P and is being labeled as a Torrent that everyone across campus is using. To add insult to injury this same firmware is used nationwide which is why we can't connect to anything at all on any college campus. This has basically become a battle of who's more stubborn. Either Bungie has to give ground and change what connection type they use for us to connect OR universities across the nation at the very least need to add Destiny to the pass list so it can slip by unblocked. But either way someone is going to lose face here. Now the only thing is to get as many people in positions of power on both sides to see my comment right here and fix the issue. Also it's funny that this post is really popular now have a look in the link lol

Edited by Lil_Peace_Doe: 9/10/2014 12:25:57 AMWhy would they use that connection type in the first place? Youd think they would notice everyone at a university could not play

Yeah idk I'd think they'd actually fix this sooner than now but they haven't fixed it anywhere

Edited by WEAPONofAPOLLO: 9/10/2014 12:21:44 AMThank you for going more in depth. When I called them they were a little less explanative with it. Lol any idea on how to convince the WKU IT department to let it slide?
