After installing the game twice and thoroughly testing my connection I have deduced that if you are getting the centipede error code like I am that Bungie has not adjusted for University hubs or server connection. No one on my floor can play and are getting the same error code. My brother is not at University and is getting the Cattle error. I'm not sure what is going on but I hope these issues are resolved as soon as possible because I'm already weary of this purchase. I love Bungie but mass server issues and error codes on the first night sends a bad message. Furthermore there is no support to assist. I will see what happens tomorrow but my guess is that these issues will not be fully resolved any time soon. It also seems odd that one specific code is designed for University hub/server errors. Who else are having these issues? What is happening elsewhere?

I live in an apartment building and I'm really sick of the Centipede error. I thought it was getting fixed in this update. I'm not even staying in a dorm so I shouldn't be getting this issue!

1 ReplySTILL havent been able to play, now I'm getting vulture and chicken and centipede. I can get to the ship but then no party stabilization. All my friends can play and I can't. Sadly, I guess I'm just going to be missing this round.
-
the only issue I've had is that I have never seen anyone in game. I've played since the first day of beta and have never seen one single person. I don't know if its on my end, their end, or what. All I know is I just got the centipede error as I was logging in. My NAT type is 2 so that should be fine. I mean, I play DCUO on the PS4 also and I have no issue what so ever. So the problem is within Destiny. I just have no support for this.

Hope to see all you fellow guardians on soon. For those still waiting, keep hope because there's a light at the end of the tunnel!

Now playing Destiny at TNTech! "I’ve been working with several of you today, as well as with developers at Bungie in the hopes of addressing the issues we have been experiencing with the game Destiny. Bungie has a solution for most of these issues that will be released on Monday. I have come up with a work-around to address the issue temporarily in the meantime In order for me to put it into place for each of your consoles, I will need the hardware or MAC address for the network interface that you are using to connect to the network. Please reply to this email with the address. MAC addresses should be 12 characters in length, and may be separated into 2 or 4 character sets with hyphens or colons like the following: 00:d9:d1:08:e4:c4 00-d9-d1-08-e4-c4 00d9:d108:e4c4 00d9-d108-e4c4 The positioning of the separators is unimportant. I really just need the string of 12 characters. They should be limited to digits 0-9 and letters a-f (hexadecimal). I will send you an email once the fix is in for your console so you can test. I will check my email periodically over the weekend in case any of your emails come in after I’m gone for the day. Feel free to share this email with other users experiencing this issue. There were some additional concerns we had regarding the manner in which the game connects across the network. I raised them with Bungie, and they have assured me that in a later patch they will be implementing the change to limit the number of inbound UDP ports needed for peer to peer connections. They haven’t given me a time estimate for the update, but they have acknowledged the request and sent it to development." Our IT department has been fantastic, and maybe this will give everyone else some hope that they will get to play soon!
