Boys, this is a milestone in my life. I've finally managed to find something to make my other leave the house without arguing so Thankyou Bungie we have succeeded, Thankyou!

My gf is not interested in video games what so ever and when I showed her a twitch stream of destiny, I told her that this was the game I've been waiting for. She then tells me "First I lose you to football, now I lose you to a video game..." Even though she said that, she understands that I've been wanting this game for a long time and she knows that I will be playing this a lot. Though, I also told myself not to get too caught up in this and to make time for her as well. It's all about compromise, whether you're with a gamer girl or not.

1 ReplyMy wife is cool as hell! I love her to death. She never has told me what to do with my time away from work & household duties. I have always been a gamer. She knew that from the time we started dating. Heck she even bought me the Dreamcast as a surprise B-day present way back. Awesome console btw. She's not a hardcore gamer but she likes some fighting and dance games. She also will hang and watch a good game with a killer story. She just makes sure I set aside some booty time for her during the week... :D Couples who play together stay together! LOL

Told my girlfriend I'll be busy using this as a break from GMAT and GRE studying for grad school. I'm busy enough with that and told her to deal with it. She understands and hasn't bothered me too much. Tell it like it is and do whatever.

2 RepliesEdited by Franken Beast: 9/9/2014 5:37:54 AMMy girlfriend is out of town until Wednesday evening, and she has acknowledged that most of my responses will be "yup" or "mhmm" for two weeks. After that I'm required to shower and see the sun atleast twice a week

For all those with Marriages and long term relationships. Remember to fangasm in moderation!

5 RepliesI look at this and I can't help but smile: Both me and the husband will be playing Destiny, at the same time; him on Xbox 360 and I on the PS3. We will be one room apart, but we will most likely hardly see or talk to each other for the coming weeks. We are completely ok with it...we understand there are priorities in life.

36 RepliesWhere do you guys find these awesome gamer chicks.. I have trouble finding fellow male gamers here, let alone a girl who actually plays video gsmes.
-
-shrugs- my gf bought the game for me. #spoiledgamer

Mhmm good.

Well someone's not getting laid for a while.

9 RepliesMy GF actually encourages me to play games. She says she likes to watch me play and enjoys laughing at me when i get my ass kicked. lol. Honestly tho i think she just likes hanging with me and my son cuz he watches me play as well, and he cheers for the bad guys just to egg me on. Between them two i can never play in peace. lol.

9 RepliesAny relationship I get into anymore is important to lay that down very early. My current girlfriend I've been with for a couple of years now has no problem at all with my gaming hobby. She'll join in half the time and sometimes even take over (this happens a lot in diablo 3, she loves that game). She wasn't a gamer when I met her. I was just honest. Told her this is what I'm like, this is my interests, if you don't like it now is a good time to speak up. I've had relationships in the past where the woman just resents my hobby and such. But it is also important to note that I used to spend much more time gaming than I do now. Often times I spent more time gaming than I did with the woman. This does not a healthy relationship make. I suspect this happens too often as well. A good balance is needed.

1 ReplyI have been with my girlfriend for 4 years, and luckily she likes to play video games as much as I do. I hope everything works out for you OP :)
-
2 RepliesSeeing all these couples playing together makes me happy. Makes me think I have a chance at finding a real gamer babe out there lol. See you all tomorrow!

4 RepliesDestiny is a big thing, I've been drooling over it since the initial trailers, but I've been in a 4 year relationship and my gf is looking forward to making her own guardian while I'm at uni, but I've sat her down and told her that yes this game is important to me but in no situation will it come before her. I'm a big gamer, I'm even aiming to go into writing for games, but I think guys that treat a girl as 2nd when a game comes out doesn't deserve the girl. I'm sure I'm gona get alot of shitty replies but its my opinion

My gf was ANNOYED at destiny s existence, but thanks to her friend being a nerd with her boyfriend, she is now attending the midnight release with me o.o..

1 ReplyI'm assuming you do have some affection for her, but if you dislike her as much as it sounds like remember that you're not married, assuming you don't have kids you can still break things off. Honestly, I think the main issue girls wind up having with videogames is that they didn't really realize what they were getting into. Guys more or less push videogames to the side during dating, and so the girls are surprised when videogames come into the mix later on. Personally, if I ever get serious with a girl, I plan to invite her over to play videogames as a dating activity, see if it freaks her out before things get too serious.

1 ReplyThat ought to be good for your relationship.
-
4 RepliesYour girlfriend sounds dumb as -blam!-... do you keep her around just for pussy?
-
2 RepliesNone of you know to how handle a relationship since all your significant others give you so much crap about it.
extra shift? Lol she's going out to get some D while you "enjoy your time alone"
I'm taking turns with my wife, don't have to worry about sh!t.

3 RepliesMy wife got me a PS4 and ghost edition! Now that's love!
-
3 RepliesKinda sad to see so many women vehemently opposed to Destiny, and games in general. They're such a fun way for couples to hang out and play together. Can't wait to play with my boyfriend.
-
while you get that, I see most of my female friends are eager to buy Next Gen consoles only for this game, just because I tell them too, they've watched the trailers too, and they are really interested in this game, so.... lucky you or lucky me?
-
13 RepliesThe husband and I have plans for this game already. We are getting the midnight release tonight of our copies then coming home and playing the game he has his ps4 and I have mine. Been married for 14 years this year and that's why . he plays his games I play mine but sometimes we like the same ones lol makes for a happy marriage. Wish you all as much luck in your relationships as I have had in mine.

2 RepliesSounds like an unhealthy relationship... precursor to marriage. And coming from a divorced 42 year old who's on top of things, "I've just booked a shift in work" means date with another guy. Just get out

My girlfriend is mad as f*** right now she already knows what's about to happen for the next 2 weeks lol
