will bear characters carry over?
I played beta and now this app says I never played what's going on here

No beta characters. They're already gone.

There is a weekly update and a bunch if news articles from various places all saying beta characters were whacked.

Unfortunately, all bears were massacred at the end of The Golden Age when it was discovered they were agents of The Darkness. (But seriously, Beta progress was not saved.)
