No, no. no.... no Okay so... This thing keeps coming up, and I feel the need to beat it over the head with a rather large stick. I'm going to attempt to make a few points that will hopefully discourage people from saying "OMG I WANT DAT SPLIT SCREEEN D: " 1, This game requires a connection to your GT/PSN ID, and then through that, accesses your own personal account on the Destiny server. You'd essentially have to be multiclienting Destiny in order to do this, and that would probably cause your console to promptly burst into flames. Some may think "WELL WHAT IF I USE CHARACTERS ON DAH SAME ACCOUNT!?" Sure, maybe that COULD work... but... 2. Destiny is split into multiple different lobbies/bubbles, these bubbles are all throughout the regions that are seamlessly tied together, if split screening was a thing, this could NOT BE POSSIBLE. It would not be able to work the same as if you were just in a fireteam with someone, your console is connected to whatever bubble you are in, I'm almost positive it would be impossible for it to connect to multiple at the same time. Simple as that. Which would completely ruin what Bungie has built for us so far. 3. The loot you receive is your own personal loot, if Destiny had split screening, it'd either end up overworking itself by giving two different streams of loot to the same console, or, you'd end up with shared loot, and get useless junk for other classes, effectively destroying, yet again, what Bungie has built for us. Those are the three most prevalent reasons I can think of, and I am damn sure there's plenty more. Stahp

 • 1. Halo 5 will have dedicated servers and will also be all online and has splitscreen. The consoles will NOT go up in flames. 2. That's garbage. The splitscreeners will be tethered together, in their own bubble, so that there would be an invisible wall system or teleportation. 3. It would work the same as the regular loot system. Each person would get their own individual loot. The game wouldn't overwork itself by doing multiple loot systems. If your logic was true, that means it would be like that for the single players as well, because everyone gets their own individual loot. Your logic is flawed.

 • If you say so, I still think all these things cause serious issues to get around, and that they "getting around" could potentially screw the big package of Destiny up. I'm a bit curious about Halo 5 having saves located on the game's servers though. Don't think I've ever heard of Halo having anything but locally saved data.

 • Yeah Halo 5 will be interesting, with dedicated servers and whatnot.

 • A large stick? No no no no no. It has to be a thick iron rod with spikes. I thought you had been trained better.
