They haven't said wherever or not that when you pick a faction you're stuck with it. So if I want specific things from different factions I can do that?

The Beta allowed for many different factions to be used. It seems that by Championing a faction you basically just funnel your game time into that factions stuff. But I seriously doubt you will be locked into a faction since they have so many and would want you to get the most out of your Tower time. I think that even if you do stay in one group you would be given the choice to leave it with a penalty to your rank in the faction. Hope this helps ease any worries dude.
