I feel the same way. THUMBS UP to more depth in customization!

And I don't think it would be difficult for the devs to implement these customization options...gestures can be a simple menu option and the haircuts/facial paint and marks would take adding a spot inside the tower somewhere but I'm sure there will be enough open area to include that.

They do it all the time in MMO's, why not in Destiny?

Good point...though I'm sure it'll be something they add in the future, it would be nice for some confirmation of these small tweaks in future updates.
