Really i did live for 6 years in germany when i was very young and i can talk german (not write it)
but every movie and serrie's is synced in German?
also here on the forum occasional Germans ask a question in German?
i think u are mistaken with the Dutch people (Netherlands, Holland) most of them speak good English.
btw i am Dutch and i like the German i have a few friends there but.
just watch there television channels and u know.

Really depends on the person, most "Gamers" I know do speak/write passable english, with exceptions of course.. But yeah the level of education in Germany viaries greatly and there is actually a shockingly huge amount of us that speaks/writes hardly any english. The synchronisation of foreign shows definitely plays a role in keeping it that way. I myself hardly watch regular TV and play/read/watch everything in English (with the exception of stuff thats originally released in German) and so do most of my friends and I most certainly hope that my english is on ahigh enough level for any discussion that could come up in this forum :D ;)
