Anyone know how long Destiny will take to download?
As much as I want to just pick up Destiny at midnight to rush home and play till my eyes bleed, I know that you have to download it first. Does anyone know the size of Destiny? I don't want to rush home to wait 3 hours to download it. If it is big do you think that it would be dumb to get the digital edition and pre download it even though I'm getting the LE for PS4 just to play it a couple hours earlier?

Its taken mine over 2 days to download its so annoying its at 92 now i think it will finish at 3 DAYS

Well, I recently had uninstalled it on the Xbox One (about 3-4 months to be exact) and it’s taken roughly over 3 hours to transfer current data, I’m not sure if this is because I had completed the game but I had done this before and this had never happened, I worried it might take the rest of the night now, or even longer.

1 ReplyIt's taken over 4 hours to download and it's still installing. That's over 10 hours. I left it installing over night and it's still installing, there's something not right here and I'm starting to get annoyed. It never gets passed 25% but is definitely doing something and I'm starting to think it's on some weird loop. No game should take this long. Any advice? I guess I should delete and reinstall but this is taking the puss. 10 -blam!-ING HOURS!! XD

It's taking almost an entire day to install my copy of Destiny the Taken King. It didn't take long for a couple other games that are the same size GBs as Destiny is. It's beginning to irritate me.

1 ReplyI'm a bit late, but my download time for the digital edition was 30 minutes, but the install time was over to hours to transfer content - hope this is helpful for anyone installing the game at this late time

I believe the current estimates are that Destiny is roughly 40Gb, so, in the most optimal of circumstances, it'll take you around 64 minutes. However, I will go on a limb and say that it will not be the most optimal of circumstances, so I will say, realistically, it'll be around 2-3 hours for you to download it. If you're talking about [i]installing[/i] it, like from the physical copy, I will say it'll take about 30 minutes to an hour.
