When trying to unlink my psn id to add my new psn account i just keep getting autenthication error. "Unlinking has failed because you signed into a different external account than the one you have linked. We cannot unlink your external account unless you sign into the correct account."

This means you have a previous session logged into the same browser. To rectify this, clear you cache and cookies of your browser and close the browser. Sign back in and you should be fine to unlink the account as long as you're authenticating through a shell email (explained in link).

hello there. bungie signs me in using the psn . yet i can not in able my clan name because it says i'am not using a linked account. help please. it says my psn name up in the right corner..? please help

hey Spawn, there's references to your rigorous account link guides everywhere! I have a problem that you might be able to help with. Yes I've read through your various posts about the place, but i can't seem to get it working. I can't link my XBL account, says it's in use. so i signed off of it EVERYWHERE then created a new XBL on a different email account and linked bungie to it instead. signed off of everywhere again, signed back in using fb auth and then unlinked the new acount. off and in again, link original account, still doing it, can't link because it's already linked. :( Please help with your amazing super powers..

If the account is "already linked", it means that Xbox Live account is already associated with a different Bungie.net profile. Try signing in with that Xbox Live Account's credentials (like you would on xbox.com) and see what profile it brings up for you. From there, you'll have to unlink it from THAT account before you can add it to the one you want to.

Sweet, thanks for the tip. I logged into my original xbl account from my phone i think and it created a new profile. Logged in to that profile and linked to one of my google accounts, unlinked the xbl account and then linked the xbl account to my normal profile and now I'm set! Thanks for the advice spawn! :D

OMG!!! This is so frustrating...so I was finally able to unlink my Xbox live account and gmail accounts by using my Facebook account...however I don't want Facebook account linked anything!! Why MUST this be so complicated!!! Can't I just delete my bungie.net account all together and start from scratch?? It shouldn't be this complicated.
