PlayStation Gold Wireless Headset - Glacier White, opinions and your suggestion.
So my headset got ruined by my brother lol. I was looking into Astros or some cheap turtle beachs'. Then I saw the Playstation white headset and im like, "this would go great with my ps4 destiny bundle :DDD." Anybody had some experience with the black ones? I play a lot of multiplayer so good audio like talking and hearing is VERY IMPORTANT to me. Let me know what you think :) Thanks in advance!

This headset is amazing! it is very comfortable and you can charge it whilst using it which is a big plus if you game for long periods. the only downside being that the mic isn't great quality so to others it may sound like you're talking using the playstation camera but I would highly recommend it

If you are crazy for sound quality, look to invest into an astro a40 headset.

6 RepliesI have a question, no intention of derailing your thread frostbolt. Just got the PS4 headset myself. My first gaming headset, Im clearly not what you would call "a sound guru". What setting or sound type will Destiny best be played at regarding the headphone app. Shooter? Or will Destiny have it's own? Any suggestions on a custom setting would be appreciated. As for my review of the product. The quality seems real high for 90$, I would recommend this to a friend.

PS gold is the only 100% compatible headset for PS4. Everything else have the same issue , voice chat, you can't hear your friends talking at all... unless... you drop the master sound volume of your game by 20%

1 ReplyI saw a yt vid reviewing the gold nd it sounds horrible but if you dont care about your friends nd foe getting your sexy voice turn into a nasty voice then you good lol the hradset does look sexy tho the best voice quality one was the wired kraken. My 2 cents

The PlayStation Gold Wireless Headset - Glacier White is a good headset for the price. I have the black ones but I'm planning to get the glacier white ones to match my new white PS4 on the 9th!!!!

7 RepliesI have two issues with them (which is why I won't purchase them). First, the headband appear flimsy and seems as if it would snap easily. My head is big and I don't need to waste money if it will just snap after a month. Second, the pleather ear cups. The cups will make you sweat terribly and will become uncomfortable after time, as well as wear badly in time. My opinions.

Love the PlayStation Gold headset. You just have to charge it after each gaming session. If the battery gets low plug it into the controller. The sound quality isn't as good while plugged in but it will still work. When wireless is 7.1 surround sound. With great detail in the mid range. Gunfire sounds amazing. Best headset with a mic I've ever owned.

Great sound quality for the price. They are fairly comfortable and dont make you sweat over long term use. Also you can download an app for the headphones and have custom presets for the stuff you listen too.

I have a pair of sound blaster 3d rage wireless and they work fine with my ps4. Really good directional sound and I only spent 90 bucks on them

5 RepliesI have the black ones, too. I really like them. Great sound quality, controls and features on it are good. Battery life is decent, but range is short. Max of 10-15 ft. Will disconnect if you walk into another room. No complaints other than that.

They kick ass you will love them. Especially for the price, the white will be dead sexy. The only other ones id recommend are the Skullcandy PLYR1 you can get them from 130-180$ they come white or black & they are flat out amazing. For the price they cannot be beat, and if you wanna stay alittle cheaper the playstation golds can't be beat for 80-100$ either. They are very well made and sound great

Got some golds delivered earlier today and been playing Hotline Miami with them for the last 8 hours and I've no complaints at all! In fact I'm pleasantly surprised given the low price! Very comfortable ( no sweaty ears like the guy said) companion apps cool too with all the game specific presets! ( hope they release a Destiny one). Seem sturdy enough! And the chat works fine! For the price you wont find anything better I reckon!
