That's a mistake, all special editions get the early Vanguard access. As for why it's so much more, simply put, dinklebot in real life is amazing. :3

I understand the extra money for the plastic toy, but more money = same as collectors/ limited edition plus more in-game rewards. So I hope it will be the same
