How long to install 40gb?
Hi guys, I was just wondering if anyone knew, how long does 40gb take to install? This will be my first xbox one game that i will be installing by disc. Thanks in advance.

you don't need internet if you are downloading from a disc and the speed of downloading the game is not how fast is your internet you can say it's like torrent the game downloads regardles your internet speed

And for all the people telling you "it depends on your internet", that is not correct. You don't even need to be connected to Internet to install from a disc. Internet would only affect you if you were downloading game online.

2 RepliesReally depends on your internet. Battlefield (digital copy) was a 35.62 GB download and it took me around 45 minutes to an hour to download. However, I was able to play the game once it reached 10% I believe (but I was only able to play campaign) which took me 5 minutes I believe. If you have the disc version of the game, you'll be able to play the game once it reaches a certain percentage (without restrictions). Should go by quickly.

Biggest consol game size by miles its 44.6gb on ps4 take 2h i would say but ps4 ddr5 ram will really help here.

it depends, but most games are 10-20 minutes to copy and install. mind you typically once the game hits about 15% you'll be able to start playing ( at least the story mode) both next gen have play while loading features. And the game is only 17.9 Gb for the standard and 89Mb for and special edition DLC if you got limited or ghost editions. It only took about 12 minutes for the games to preload for me off live so it should be similar off disc. I have found the load off disc, does seem to be a bit slower

11 RepliesIf you install from a disc, the first 1% can take like two minutes then it will just start shooting up. No longer than 10 minutes ever. And if you disconnect your one from live while a disc is installing, it will go even faster. If you need someone to play with, just send me a message on here right now and I'll add you!

Depends on your speed but if you've already purchased it just leave your system on and when it's available for download it'll start and keep in mind there may also be patches or updates waiting in the shadows.

1 ReplyInstalling by disk usually takes 0.10-40 mins. Most of the time, for me, it takes 10 mins.
