I think for right now its good they didnt put the ship exploration/combat in becuase since its the first game its smart to just show us what Destiny is really about. The ship combat/exploration is just an extra thing.

Perhaps to you, which is fair enough, but to others, it would have added a whole lot more, and made the thing feel more expansive than it is without it.

Dude thats one guy's opinion. Bungie said that the beta was only scratching the surface and plus you also have to two DLC packs. I would say this game would keep you busy for a few months.

Expansive is not a word I would associate with the beta and I can't see the game being a vast improvement.

No it's not, but it's an indicator of the full game thus my 'vast improvement' comment. If the beta isn't supposed to be expansive then why make the 'you don't think it's expansive enough? Statement'.

Yes but if you haven't played the full version then your statement isn't valid, it's speculation, the only people who know how expansive the game is or isn't are the developers. My assumption is also speculation, but based on various beta tests I've tried in the past there isn't a great change between beta and the final version. Speculation only causes confusion/disappointment, the reason why this post exists to begin with.

True but even though the beta was small i saw a lot of potential which makes me believe that the full version would be at least a decent sized game.

Agreed, it may well be, there were parts with high level mobs in other areas and that's why I'm willing to buy the retail game and give it a chance. The problem as I see it is developers/publishers release claims they later find they can't deliver on, (I'm not suggesting this is the case with Destiny) and gamers read way too much into a generalised statement.

A lot of people are worried about that but you know what the way I see it even if it turns out not be as big as they claim no doubt it will still be a fun game.
