Expansion Pass, will it carry over to my Xbox One?
Ok so I have the Destiny Limited Edition for Xbox 360 preordered. With the limited edition comes the Expansion Pass to access future DLC. Now I will be getting an Xbox One soon, but when I do will my Expansion Pass carry over to the Xbox One? And still be accessible on my One even though I had it on the 360? Much help would be appreciated on this, as I want to be sure I am not blowing money away.

4 RepliesHello Reaper All the items in game (ghost, ship, emblems...) will carry over your account, meaning you can use it on Xbox 360 and One. But, expansion pass and the game it self won't. You will have to buy them again. Cheers.

I purchased the dlc expansion pass for 360, later i upgraded to xbone, i havent gotten destiny for it yet, but in the store i was simply able to install the pass free from the add-on section.

The Ghosts and Battlefield cross over offers were announced months in advance and we haven't seen anything announced for Destiny with nearly a week left, so I wouldn't count on the expansion pass crossing. From what I understand though, any items your guardian can equip will transfer, like the Gamestop preorder red sparrow would and the items in the Limited Edition.

The only thing confirmed is all items/bonuses will carry over cross-generations and their really hasn't been any verified comments on whether the DLC will carry over. However, I thought I heard DLC from the last Call of Duty DLC was able to cross over from 360 to One so we do know it is possible...think it is just up to either Microsoft and/or Bungie to decide whether to allow it or now.

Edited by Chewy: 9/1/2014 9:55:19 AMI only bought BF Premium once for both Xboxes, so I'm pretty sure Microsoft handles that stuff and it's linked the your XBL account. We likely won't be sure until the ninth though.

On Guardian Radio I think I remember them saying the expansion packs will be linked to your b.net account not your console, so they should cross over. I might be wrong though

They said that all the items will carry over, but you have to buy again both the game and the expansion pass on the new console
