When I say class based missions I mean minor missions that can only be accepted by your class that explores the lore and origins of that class.

Classes yes. But I also think that factions should have their own story line. Not just weak patrol missions. I mean actual story
-
Yes but for the races not the classes like you trace back the exos roots if you play as Exo If your awoken you find out what happened in the void that's fr you like that and if your human you find out what happened in old Russia
-
if only bungie paid attention to the polls
-
Any lore is good lore--space magic lore is even better!
-
how do u know it not ingame already there is all ready the three class leaders we go to so i sure there is some different class mission in games
-
All missions should be played by all Players, but if you are the class, like the Warlock Mission and you are a Warlock than you should have a different dialogue. More personal becouse you are one and the same as the class in the Mission
-
This would be a great way to immerse oneself in destiny, and is a great idea. Which is why I am certain it will not be in the game
-
I agree with the class based lore missions, but allow all classes to participate. This would be a really fun way to learn about the classes and may encourage a new character. Cool idea.
-
Class and species story missions would be a great addition! Great suggestion... :)

We are the ones hiding in the shadows... We are the ones who don't value your opinions... We live to make us laugh and you cry... We live for your rage... We are the 3 percent...
We are the trolls....
I would rather they made 3 new missions that everyone can play, rather than 1 new mission that each class can play.

Edited by Comms_12389: 9/3/2014 9:51:11 AMWhile I support the discussion of the idea. I think its not a good one. I want the game to be fully available for all classes, not have bits locked off based on class. Edit: So what I'm saying is as long as no missions are locked of by class then it is fine.
-
It's not a horrible idea, but I have to go back to what Bungie said early in the days of talking about Destiny: the idea is for the classes to be quite similar to avoid 'class choice regret' as time goes by. Along those lines, it seems like any class-based missions (expLOREatory or otherwise) would work against that.
-
how about you would just need one of that class with you to use there super to unlock a door etc.
-
I think it would b a cool idea, but I agree that the game u r supposed to play with others people playing as other classes... So what if they put in almost a secondary objective for each class within a mission, like a borderlands bonus objective. so in the end you dont need to do it but if you do you can delve deeper into the history and lore behind your class.
-
They wont do it.
-
Definitely
-
More lore is always welcome in the game.

Honestly, no. At least not with it being only acceptable by the one class. Reason being, the game is meant to be played alongside guardians of different classes. While it has a single player aspect to it, the fundamentals would not be there with a mission designed for a single class. However, if it were one that all classes could do, and all get some reward with the class it is meant for getting a bonus item such as a garb or something, or having all 3 classes going through the same thing with parts in the quest playing to a specific class, then it would work. I have plenty of times (or should I said had, during beta) that I was not with my fireteam and running solo, which would be the time to do a mission as you brought to mind, however I would feel that I have to leave my team to do something of the sort which I likely won't want to do anytime soon. With a lore quest for a class I see it as better to do at the beginning to fully understand things prior to everything else being done. They could however have it as something you do before you get to the tower and meet up with friends, but that would mean they would have to change the start which is not an option this close to release. So, while I would love to have something going in to more depth of the classes, I would not want it quite under the design you had thought out. As said in the beginning, I see this game as fundamentally designed fully in its multiplayer aspect. Can never have too much lore though, so the basic idea of your quest would be nice.

Space Magic !!!!
-
That would definitely be interesting. I think it would give the class and player you created a bit more of an actual identity.
-
I would love to see this. Specific stories involving the Warlock would be awesome.
-
They could call them Vanguard Missions and you report soley to your Vangaurd for them.
-
Brilliant Idea and encourages playing all the classes for the various lore.
-
This is a great idea. I could go back to the first days of Titans and help build the Wall. This would be amazing!
-
I would love this. Same stuff happened in Lotro. I played as the Warden and during the high leveled class missions I had to fight a dark warden in the mines of Moira it was pretty badass.
