we are all here. connected together for anticipation of Destiny.
I ask now fell ow guardians. How did you discover destiny?
I discovered it in a gameinformer magazine. It grabbed my attention and I saw potential.
Just a couple of photos and an article. I tend not to get excited over game informer because most of this stuff does not make it or I don't hear of it again but later I did. I saw another article. Then over the summer I was told if I preorder I could try it free.

Reveal at e3
-
I discovered it when I watched a YouTube video about speculation of a new game from Bungie...
-
I discovered it years ago by a YouTube Channel named ReadyUpLive. Used to be one of my favorite channels.

I discovered it accidentally while checking if there were any new demo's on XBL... given the tight window of opportunity it was a matter of right place at the right time!

E3 2013
-
Watching Alpha videos on Gothalion's channel. His borderlands content is unreal.
-
I've been waiting to get Destiny since September 11, 2010. Always followed Bungie, always will.
-
I knew about it long before E3 2013. I saw it was being made by Bungie so I decide to follow it. But E3 really got my attention.
-
Always been a huge fan of bungie and I remember spotting concept art a long time Ago of the moon and thought that this game would be cool and as they showed more and more I fell harder and harder and it all reached critical mass when I was playing the beta and I stepped on the moon and ran up that hill to see the moon base I saw in that first piece of concept art and my jaw dropped...it was a feeling I've never experienced while playing a game

Edited by Bee Error: 8/31/2014 9:54:48 PMSony emailed me asking if I was interested in receiving a code for the Destiny alpha. After the heartbreak that was Watch Dogs I was ready for anything new. Before, I was sceptical, as to me it looked like another borderlands. I played the alpha and it was like nothing I had ever played before. I received more enjoyment from it than full games from the past two years. Since then, Ive been anticipating the release heavily.

I heard about the game a good while back, I honestly figured it was overhyped blah garbage that'd just be another lame shooter cloned from Halo. My brother was hyped on it and wouldn't shut up about it, which turned me off from it even more, that is, until he left me alone with his Xbox, and the Beta... I played a bit of it after being coerced, leading to me preordering it for my PS3, and participating in the last few days of beta on my console.

Edited by KaziArmada: 8/31/2014 9:39:40 PMDestiny isn't some obscure niche game ya -blam!-ing imbecile. With all the marketing who hasn't heard about this game?
-
Three years ago, I saw something on some website mentioning interesting upcoming games, and destiny was on the list. Naturally, I nearly had a heart attack, because I had no idea Bungie was working on anything. I've been following it avidly since then. Not even my best friend, who is a hard core halo fan, knew anything about it

For me, I was looking forward to Elder Scrolls Online. I have gotten into MMOs a ton recently. That got delayed 6 months, so I got FFXIV. Played that awhile. At this point I had seen the Destiny trailers, but I thought it was just another FPS like Halo. I did not really get into the new Halos so I was like whatever. I signed up for the Alpha and when I saw it was basically an MMO and what was possible I was sold on it, but wasnt going to pre-order it or anything. My video game store had a deal where they were giving extra credit for certain games. Low and behold, one of them was COD Ghosts lol, That sealed the deal. Unbiased, w/o seeing all the negative ranting about the game, i really was disappointed. Have my destiny game pre-ordered and im ready to go!

I discovered it when the first concept art came around and was shown on youtube. I didn't think much of it at first and it didn't really catch my eye even though it was bungie's. Through out the months after that It started to grab my attention and i looked into it a little, It looks good but it didn't hold me. I pre-ordered it though. Then I realized my mistake later after getting my xbox one in June this year for my birthday, realizing I had to pre-order for my new console and then I remembered the beta. I figured you know what? I'll try the beta. So after setting up my beta code and everything I looked back at all the information I missed to realize that I wanted to become a legend. I spent day after day looking into the game, constantly on the forums, waiting for the beta. Then after the short beta and long wait, here I am with the community, in the final stretch to get the game.

It was awhile ago, I remember going to get a game like a year and a half ago, and saw the whole "bungies next masterpiece" poster in GameStop , so I looked it up lol
