How long will you play MCC?
Hey all just a quick question for all those excited about Mcc. How long will you play it? The reason I ask is well because I'm curious as to how long most will play the game with well destiny coming up as well as Aw and other games. I was a fan of halo 3 and reach, 4 not so much, I understand why fans if halo would get this, but my thoughts are how fun can the MCC really be? Everybody for years complained about CoD being the same game every year, year after year and MCC is literally the same games from Years ago, but with better graphics. I feel like there is a reason why people don't really play it anymore, so I don't see how it being on a newer console can make anybody want to play it more than a month or 2. But CoD does it lol

I love it so much and it has made me happy, but at the same time has kept me back because I focus all of my attention on it, and video games in general since I was in middle school. Now I'm 22 and out of college and I have no idea what to do as a career, but I want this game so damn bad, just like when I was a kid. Part of me doesn't feel right to play them all again because I need to move on with my life and stop thinking about Halo all the time as my only purpose. But I love it so much...

In all honesty, It wouldn't surprise me if by 2018, at the eve of Halo 6, I'm still playing MCC at least once a week. New games don't always mean better games. Some games, like Halo CE, 2, and 3, will be fun for as long as shooters remain fun. I suspect that Halo 5: Guardians will remove me from MCC, but that I will return at least once a week.

1 ReplyIt will be my main competitive multiplayer game, and unless Halo 5 can capitalize on the best parts from the other successful Halo titles, I'll be staying on The Master Chief Collection for many years to come.

1 ReplyI say about a year or so. I'm only getting it to play Halo CE and 2 online. I have a feeling CE is going to get old after a few months and Halo 2 is going to be the same way.

I will play it for years. Alongside with Halo 5 aswell. I have good hopes about Halo 5 being good. But if not I always have the MCC to turn to. :)

1 Replywhile I deff understand the nostalgia aspect of MCC, I just can't see people willing to play it more than some BRAND NEW games that were made specifically for the console they are playing on. idk, it just seems like a waste. it's how I feel about all remakes & re-releases essentially. I'll play just to feel happy that I got to play some of my old favorite games again, but i care more about new experiences.

I have the full Campaign and MP experience of Halo 1-4 in one place, smoother and crisper than ever. I'm not gonna be laying that to rest any time soon. The reason you don't notice many people playing these games is because of performance issues - Halo 3 - or because they simply can't take the game online - Halo CE, and 2. With each game being available online - CE for the first time, which is exciting - 1080p, 60fps, and using dedicated servers, 343 has removed the barriers preventing players for enjoying the games they love. Regarding COD, people criticized [u]new[/u] games for being pretty much the same game. TMCC is a conglomerate of remasters, and remakes. A celebration of Halo's past.
